Wake Up

I finally had fallen asleep after a exhausting hunt. The shower felt wonderful and it relaxed me more than I thought it would. Dean kissed me goodnight and pulled me to his warm bundle of a body. My eyes shut not long after.

-----Dean POV----

My eyes snapped open as I heard a small noise. I strained my ears for anything that could make it. We should be safe in the bunker, it's warded against everything we've faced and things we've only read about. The noise sounded again. I turned to look down at ___ asleep on my chest. I expected her to be sleeping peacefully, but her face was contorted to one of fear and worry. The noise was her, she was whimpering and mumbling in her sleep. My mind went to the fact that she was having a nightmare. ___ seemed to be okay for a few seconds, then she began to cry out for me.
Her voice sounded so broken and scared in just a few words. "Dean. Dean. Please help me. Don't go Dean! Please don't leave me alone. You promised you'd never leave me! DEAN!!" ___'s voice got progressively louder and more frightened. I sat up and she sat up with me.
"Hey, hey, sweetheart. It's okay, you're fine. It's just a dream, just a nightmare. C'mon, wake up for me sweetheart." I shook her shoulders as I tried to wake her up. Her eyelashes fluttered and she began to slowly open her eyes. "Dean, what's wrong? Why are you shaking me?" ___ groggily asked me as she rubbed her eyes. I laid her and myself back down and ran my hand up and down her back to soothe her.
"You just had a nightmare, but you're okay now. Just go back to sleep, I'm right here to protect you. I'm not going anywhere." I leaned down and kissed the top of her head. "Mm otay. Good night Deano." ___ fell asleep again in no time. I stayed up with her for another hour to make sure my baby was okay. My eyes began to slip shut. I fell asleep with ___ cuddling closer to me and I tightened my grip on her.

I know this one is kinda short and sucky so apologies. But I wanted to throw something out there. I don't know, I've been having bad nightmares lately and this kinda helped. Hope this helps y'all too! Rock on!
