Never knew

chapter 13- Shocking news

Sorry about the long wait everyone. I have been really busy lately and had completely forgotten to upload. once again sorry, I'll stop talking (typing if you wish) and get on with the story now.

It has been a week since my mum was taken. My dad has become less and less the man he used to be and had become the man he said he would never be. He was sad, did nothing for himself and would only speak when he needed to. He would do nothing but sit in his office and try to find my mum, we knew she was still alive because dad would be able to tell if she had died. I was upset as I had lost my mother, my father was becoming someone you didn’t want to be around and Mason had to leave the day after we had found out. Sure I talked to him everyday but it wasn’t the same as being with him.

It turned out that the people who had wanted to see him were friends of his parents and were sent to tell him how they were going and to say that they wished him luck as Alpha and asked of any news they could tell his parents. They had also given him the number of his parents and was told to call them soon. Sally, Tim, Bob and Mary had to go back home shortly after Mason left. I spent me days trying not to think of everything that has happened.

I would talk to my friends and go out places with them but I was never able to get fully into being out with everyone, not knowing what was happening to my mum. Dad never told anyone but Billy what he know, which made it hard to come up with a plan to help her, as we didn’t know anything. I was currently sitting on my bed holding the toy wolf Mason had gotten me at the fair. I normally sit here every night before having to get dinner ready, as my mum wasn’t here Jessica and I had taken it upon ourselves to cook the food every morning and night. We didn’t worry about launch for everyone as hey normally got it themselves. There was a knock at my door, normally my friends and family would just open the door and walk in.

"Come in" I called out, not getting off the bed or putting down the wolf. I heard the door open but didn’t look up.

"It's nice to know you like that wolf" The person spoke, making me look up and smile.

"Of course I like it, why wouldn’t I?" I questioned

"I'm not sure, still trying to think of a reason" I laughed before getting up and walking over to him.

"I missed you Mas" I said, hugging him

"I missed you to Tay" He kissed the top of my head. It was nice having him back with me.

"Why didn’t you tell me you were coming back?" I asked once I was sitting on the bed again

"Well I wanted to surprise you and I needed to talk to your dad about some stuff"

"What stuff?"

"Stuff that may help find your mum"

"Really?" I asked smiling, those words and seeing Mason had made my day. I looked over at the clock on my bed side table. "Oh crap, I have to go and cook dinner now"

"It's okay, while your doing that, I'll go and talk to your dad" I nodded and kissed his cheek before walking out of my room. Mason caught up with me easily and grabbed my hand. We walked down the stairs and I took him to my dad's office. "I'll see you soon" He nodded before I walked off to the kitchen.

Jessica was already in there and had started to cook. I asked what I had to do before setting off to do it. We spent the next hour making everything for everyone and there were a lot of people. Most people didn’t care what we cooked but some needed special things made for them. As I was setting the table and started to place the food on there Jessica noticed that I was smiling.
