Never knew

chapter 15- Finding my mother and ouch

I woke up feeling dizzy and weak. I could hear people talking softly, I didn’t know what they were talking about though, one of them sounded like my mother, but I wasn’t sure. I was feeling less dizzy so I opened my eyes and saw that I was lying on a bed in a small room, with two other women sitting on other beds on the other side of the room, I slowly sat up. I must have made a sound as both women turned towards me. One of them was my mother and the other looked familiar but I didn’t know who she was. They rushed over to me and pushed me back onto the bed. So I was lying down again.

"Taylah, you need to stay lying down, you don’t want him to know you are awake yet" The women I didn’t know said.

"Who are you? What's going on?"

"I am Jessica's mother, Brent has brought you here as part of his plan."

"So your my mother?" I asked shocking them both

"You know? I never told you?" My mother, I mean Mandy asked

"Dad told me, I mean Tom. Damn this is going to annoy me"

"He told you? When?"

"About a week after you were taken, he called me to his office with other people and I kept asking if it had something to do with you and he snapped at me, telling me it was my fault you were taken and that if I was with my real mother this would never have happened" I was crying by the end of telling them. Both of them held me in their arms. My real mother pushed my hair out of my face and over my shoulder and gasped.

"what is that?" She asked, pointing at my neck. I looked at her confused

"What?"

 "On your neck" Mandy looked at my neck and gasped

"Did Mason mark you?" She asked, I nodded "Oh, Belinda we can get out now, she can contact Mason"

"Who is Mason?" Belinda asked

"My mate" I said "Do either of you know how Brent caught me? I can remember parts of it"

"No, I'm sorry sweetie we don't" Mandy answered "Tell us what you remember"

"I remember, Mason and I being woken up by Jessica and Billy, yelling at us that something was wrong with Tom. I went into his room to see if I could help him. I saw Brent in there and thought I was going to be okay once I saw Tom there as well. Until I felt something go over my mouth. Everything started to go dark, but before I passed out I heard Tom say something"

"What did Tom say?"

"Something about getting his wife back" Mandy gasped, I saw tears in her eyes

"I can't believe it, he turned against you, to try and get me back. I never thought he would do something like that"

"Mandy, you didn’t see what he was like after you were taken, he was turning into the man he always said he wouldn’t be. He wouldn’t talk to anyone and was sad all the time, nothing the same with him, nothing would snap him out of it. He wasn’t the same person anymore" We all turned our heads to the sound of applause. Brent was standing in the doorway of the room.

"That was very touching, you know. I never knew he had it in him to turn against his own family, but this proves a man can be convinced to do anything for his mate. I wonder what Mason would do to get his Luna back" I gasped

"No, leave him out of this" I said, I didn’t want Mason involved. Brent slapped me across the face for my outburst.

"You will only speak when spoken to girl, I will involve who I want in this, to get what I want" I held my face while standing up
