Amelia was sat on the sofa in the manor with Raphael when Maryse walked in.
"Amelia." Maryse said and Amelia and Raphael immediately stopped their conversation to look at Maryse. "It's time to see the Inquisitor."
Amelia went wide eyed. Raphael grabbed her hand and stroked the back of it.
"You'll be ok. Everything is going to be ok." He reassured her. Amelia looked at him and nodded. They both stood up and followed Maryse out of the manor, to the Inquisitor's house. Maryse opened the door and let Amelia and Raphael walk in before her.
"This way." Maryse said and walked into a large room, with Amelia and Raphael following behind.
The Inquisitor was sat behind a desk, engrossed in some paperwork. Maryse coughed and the Inquisitor looked up, smiled, put down the paperwork and Maryse walked out.
"I see you brought your vampire friend along." The Inquisitor stated.
"Y-yes this is - "
"I know who he is."
Amelia nodded and looked down, she realised her palms had gone sweaty and she was shaking a little. The girl who had no weaknesses was scared of the Inquisitor. How ironic.
"Do you want me to leave? Because I'm not going to leave Amelia if that's what you - "
"That won't be necessary." The Inquisitor cut in. "I would just like to say that I am very disappointed in what the last Inquisitor did. Yes it is looked down on to be gay but it isn't against the law and you should have never been punished for your brother's decision. I just want to welcome you back."
"Wait that's what we came all the way to Idris for?" Raphael asked.
"Not entirely." The Inquisitor answered. "First of all, we don't know how Magnus Bane was able to bring back your memories - that is far beyond warlock power. And we also need as many Shadowhunters in Idris as we can get. A war is about to start with Valentine."
"What do you mean? Why weren't we told about this?" Amelia asked.
"You weren't told because we haven't announced it yet." The Inquisitor answered. "You may leave now."
Amelia and Raphael walked out of the room to find Maryse stood there, looking distant and worried. When she saw them, she hugged Amelia.
"Um what's this for?" Amelia asked, surprised.
"What did the Inquisitor say? What are they to do to you?" Maryse asked.
"Nothing. The Inquisitor just said that what the last Inquisitor did was out of line and that the clave have no idea how Magnus was able to bring back my memories." Amelia answered.
"So nothing is going to happen to you?" Maryse asked.
"No. It was just a welcome back." Amelia smiled.
Maryse smiled back and they all walked back to the manor."Jace." Clary walked into Jace's room to find him sat on his bed, examining a blade.
"Clary." Jace smiled, putting down the blade, walking over to her and kissing her lightly on the lips. He rested his hands on her waist and Clary had to go on her tiptoes a bit to reach his lips.
"Well that was nice." Clary smiled when they pulled away. Jace smiled back. "Anyway, I need to see Ragnor Fell so that I can wake up my mother. Do you want to come with me?"
"Sure." Jace smiled. They arrived at Ragnor Fell's house and walked up to the door. They knocked and it opened.
"Magnus?" Clary asked, surprised.
"What are you doing here?" Jace asked. "Didn't Alec want you to stay in New York to stay safe?"
"Yes. Until I found out that a demon attacked Ragnor." Magnus said and walked back inside. "He was a dear friend of mine." Clary and Jace walked in as Magnus sat in an armchair. "When I arrived, the house looked like this." Magnus carried on. Everything was destroyed. There were scorch marks on the floor and walls, everything was fallen on the floor and windows were shattered, with the glass scattered around the surroundings.
"Where's Ragnor?" Clary asked.
Magnus started to tear up a little. "Let's just say that the demon succeeded."
"Wait what?" Jace asked.
"Ragnor is dead." Magnus said.
"Oh Magnus I'm so sorry." Clary said. "Wait if Ragnor is dead then how are we meant to wake my mother?"
"I may know a way." Magnus said.
"How?" Jace questioned.
"There is a book. The Book Of The White. It is the most powerful book that you can imagine. There is a spell in there that can wake your mother."
"Well where is it?" Clary asked.
"I think I might know." Jace said. "We'll look for it tomorrow."
Clary nodded in reply.
"Thank you Magnus." Clary said.
"Of course. No problem." Magnus smiled. "Oh and one more thing. Do you think Alexander would want to see me? I mean he didn't want me here because he wanted me to keep an eye on New York and he wanted me to be safe but I'm here now so - "
"Magnus." Jace cut him off. "Alec would be delighted to see you."
Magnus smiled at that. "Right. Well I'll just finish up here and be on my way to see Alec."
"Right." Jace smiled.Jace and Clary arrived back at the manor to find Raphael and Amelia stood in the kitchen.
"Hey how did it go with the Inquisitor?" Jace asked.
"It went very well." Amelia answered.
"Yeah it was basically just a welcome back." Raphael said.
"Well that's good." Jace smiled.
"There is one thing though." Amelia said. "I didn't tell Maryse this but the Inquisitor said that we are about to be at war with Valentine which is why we need Shadowhunters in Idris."
"Wait Valentine is on his way here?" Clary asked.
"I don't think it's going to be just Valentine. He's building an army of demons, we all know that much but we don't know how many demons. We could be over numbered." Amelia said.
"Good job Magnus is here now. We'll need him." Jace said.
"Magnus is here?" Amelia asked.
"Yeah Ragnor Fell was killed so Magnus came to Idris." Clary explained.
"Anyway." Raphael said. "There could be somebody working for Valentine in Idris watching us."
"Why do you think that?" Clary asked.
"It's Valentine. He will definitely have somebody watching us." Jace said.
"Hey guys." Alec walked in. "What going on?"
"Well - " Amelia was about to tell Alec everything when the door to the manor opened.
Everyone got their weapons ready and steadily walked towards the door, only to find Magnus walking in.
"Am I really that scary?" Magnus asked.
Everyone sighed and put their weapons back in their belts. Alec however dropped his weapon on the floor and ran at Magnus.
"Now now Alexander. I know you told me to stay in New York but - "
Magnus was cut off by Alec's lips against his. Alec had his hands holding Magnus' head and Magnus slid his arms around Alec's waist.
"Well hello to you too." Magnus smiled.
"Yeah." Alec smiled, still a little dazed. When he came to his senses, he pulled away from Magnus. "What are you doing here? I told you to stay in New York I wanted you to be safe."
"Alec, Ragnor Fell died so I came to Idris." Magnus said.
"Wait Ragnor Fell?" Alec asked.
"He was the warlock I came to see. And a friend of Magnus'." Clary said.
Alec looked at Magnus and Magnus had his head down. Alec hugged Magnus. Magnus stepped back, loosing balance, a little surprised.
"I'm sorry I didn't realise." Alec said.
"Alexander you don't have to apologise."---------------------------------------------
