Clary and Jace were in the library of the Wayland manor, looking everywhere for the Book Of The White.
"I can't see it anywhere!" Clary said.
"We'll find it." Jace replied. "Don't worry. We'll find it, I promise."
Clary sighed and went to the other side of the room, looking at the books. She saw a book she recognised and pulled it out.
"Clary that's a cook book." Jace said and walked over.
"No my mum used to have this book. She always made Chicken Cacciatore." Clary explained. (A/N: I'm kind of going along the lines of what happened in the TV show for this bit.)
"And what does that have to do with the Book Of The White?" Jace questioned.
Clary touched the bookmark, recognising it. She opened to the page that the bookmark was and it was the Chicken Cacciatore page.
"Ok Clary we don't have time to cook a meal." Jace said.
"No Jace look." Clary said. "Half the bookmark is missing."
"Wait I've seen something that looked like that. Hang on a minute." Jace said and he walked over to the other side of the room.
He ran his hand along the books before getting one out and opening it. Inside was the other half of the bookmark. He walked over to Clary and handed it to her. She took it and placed it so that the two ends joined together. The bookmark sealed itself back together and the book transformed. The writing of the recipe disappeared and the spell to wake Clary's mother appeared. When Clary closed the book, it was no longer the cover of a cook book, but the white cover of the Book Of The White.
"You did it!" Jace exclaimed and Clary looked up at him, excitedly.
"Ok let's get back to the others quickly so that Magnus can wake my mother." Clary said as she picked the book up and started to walk out the house, with Jace at her heels.

Demons had somehow got into Idris and were attacking. Aline had been outside and Izzy went after her but she had ran off. Alec and Amelia had gone outside to battle against the demons. Magnus, Raphael and Simon were outside too, helping Alec and Amelia. Izzy stayed inside with Max, making sure he was safe.
Izzy went to get her stele from her room so that she could ward the house with protection runes. When she came back downstairs, it was dark and she couldn't see Max anywhere.
"Max?" Izzy shouted into the blackness. "Max? Where are you?"
Izzy decided to look for Max and walked into the kitchen. She couldn't see anything in the kitchen. It was even darker.
"Max?" She started to worry.
"Isabelle." Something moved in the shadows. "Isabelle, I'm sorry."
"Sebastian?" Isabelle asked, shocked. Where was Max? Had Sebastian done something to Max? "What have you done with Max?"
Izzy felt somebody close to her and breath on her ear. She wanted to kill Sebastian but she was so worried and shocked that she couldn't move. "I killed him." Sebastian laughed into Izzy's ear and he smacked her on the head with a hammer.

Jace and Clary had gotten back from the manor and they were all sat around Max's body, in the Accords Hall. No movement was evident. They were all crying their eyes out. Alec held Max's little hand. Amelia couldn't help but think how Max will never have his first kiss. He'll never go on a proper mission. He'll never read manga with her again. He'll never grow up. Amelia felt angry. Izzy was blaming herself for it happening but it wasn't her fault.
Evie walked over and as soon as she saw Max, she fell to her knees.
"What happened?" She asked.
"Your boyfriend killed him." Jace snapped. "Evie go away. You're dark and on Sebastian's side now."
Evie's breath hitched in the back of her throat. Her own childhood friend hated her. How was she going to live her life without the one person who was there for her? She felt the darkness inside her disappear. And she hated Sebastian for what he did. "I'm sorry." Her eyes started to tear up. "I - I didn't mean for this to happen."
      "Just leave." Alec said.
Evie nodded and walked outside. She saw something move in the shadows and then felt arms wrap around her. She realised who it was and flinched away.
"Hey what's wrong?" Sebastian asked as she pulled away from him.
"You killed Max." Evie said. "How could you? He's just a boy. He's so innocent and he had his whole life ahead of him and you ended it."
"What's different about that to you killing that member of the clave?" Sebastian questioned.
"Because you made me dark! I didn't know what I was doing! And I didn't even know the guy but Max, I love Max, he's my family and you killed him! You killed a nine year old boy!" Evie shouted. "I don't even know who you are. I thought I did but now I realise that I don't. You are so evil. I don't want to ever see you again." Evie started to cry. "Goodbye Sebastian." She started to walk away but then stopped and turned back around. She took Sebastian's bracelet off and threw it at him. "And you can take this back. I don't want to raise hell with you."
She should have killed him in that moment but she still loved him. You can tell your mind to stop loving someone but you can't tell your heart. She would have killed Sebastian but then she would have lost two people she loves in one day. And she wouldn't be able to handle that. And knowing she had killed one of them herself, it would kill her.
Sebastian looked at the bracelet and put it back on his wrist. "Evie wait." Sebastian grabbed her wrist but she pulled away and walked away from him, back into the Accords Hall.

I stood and watched Evie yell at Sebastian. Evie walked back into the Accords Hall so I followed her. I walked over to Izzy, who was crying over my dead body, along with the rest of my family, repeating that it's all her fault. I touched her shoulder but she didn't feel it. Of course she wouldn't feel it. I'm dead. Because of Sebastian.
"Hey. It's Max." I said but nobody heard me. I knew they wouldn't hear me. I carried on anyway. "Evie I know that wasn't really you. Sebastian turned you dark, you couldn't help it." I said as Evie sat next to Amelia. I think Amelia knew she was good again because she looked into her eyes and then hugged her. "I never finished Shadowhunter training. I never said goodbye to you all. I never had a tenth birthday. I never had a girlfriend. I never fought demons. I never grew up. I died before I could say goodbye. But I love you all so much. It's not your fault Izzy." I said before my soul moved on and wings spread out from my back. I became an Angel.
