A/N: Hey! So this chapter is a lot like the episode Dead Man's Party so sorry if that annoys you but I did say that there would be a few scenes from the TV show and Books xx

They were all back at the institute now.
"We need to find Simon before they do something to him." Clary said.
"Look, they won't do anything to Simon ok. They just want to draw you out. They want the cup and they think you have it." Jace told her.
"But why do they think that? Why does anyone think that? What, my mom lies to me my entire life except, oh, by the way, there's this magic cup, I hid on, like, the planet Bongo, but don't tell anyone." Clary was getting angry. "We need a plan. Where is he anyway? Some kind of crypt in Transylvania?"
"Wasn't the hot one ... dammit. I mean the boy, Raphael?" Amelia said.
"You are so not covering that up." Izzy smirked.
"Wait so he's a vampire who has kidnapped a mundane and you still find him hot?" Jace asked.
"Hey I can't help what my eyes see!" Amelia defended herself. "Besides I would be completely fine with slitting his throat if I had a chance. I only find him hot it's not like I have a crush on him or anything. I mean if I did kill him, he would die hot so you know." Amelia rambled on. "I really need to stop talking."
"Yes you do, can we get back to the task at hand?" Alec said.
"Gladly." Amelia replied. "What I was trying to tell you is that they're locals. They're at the Hotel DuMort, down in Gansevoort Street."
"And we came back here? Why? We have to go there. Let's go, now. Come on." Clary replied.
"We need a Clave resolution for that." Alec told her.
"The four of us can't declare war on the vamps all by ourselves." Izzy said next.
"And we can't react without considering our options. Downworlders are slaves to their impulses. We're not." Alec said.
"Alec, you can't just jump on all the Downworlders." Izzy said.
"Oh, that's right. Seelies have their charms, apparently." Alec smirked.
"Right." Jace smirked too and Amelia and Alec were smirking at Izzy too.
"Seelies?" Clary asked.
"Like faeries. The Fair Folk. Add pixies, nixies, elves anybody half-angel, half-demon. It's pretty much a catch-all term." Jace explained.
"Izzy can tell you all about them. She's got a thing." Alec said.
"We've all got our things, don't we?" Izzy replied.
"Okay, I can't listen to this. Simon's been kidnapped by vampires. I guess I'll just take care of it myself." Clary started to walk away.
"Clary, you're gonna get yourself killed." Jace said but she still carried on walking. "Clary. Simon too."
Clary stopped walking and then turned round and walked back to them. "Then help me." She said. "While we consider other options, my best friend is suffering. Is that something Shadowhunters understand or am I just being a mundane?"
They all glanced at each other for a while until Jace said, "Clary's right." Jace gestured for them all to lean in and he talked quietly so that nobody in the institute would hear. "They made the first move. We're gonna take care of this ourselves, right now."
"This is a bad idea." Alec said.
"What, have you got a better one? Look, the vamps broke the Accords. They kidnapped a mundie. That's a big no-no. The Clave will give us a lecture and then they'll be glad we did it. Come on." Jace replied.
"Hard to argue with that." Izzy said.
"Even if we went ahead, I don't see how we get out of here without having to explain where we're going. We need weapons, and we can't let anyone see us get them." Alec said.
"I know where to get what we need." Jace replied.

They had all been at a graveyard, getting weapons. Now, Alec, Amelia and Izzy were trying to distract the vampires so that Clary and Jace could get inside.
"Do you think they know where we are?" Amelia asked.
"Well that's the idea right?" Alec said. "How long do you think we have to distract them for?"
"Ten more minutes." Izzy smiled.
"Ten minutes? Are you kidding?" Alec asked. "We're liquid lunch in five.
"So let's distract them." Izzy said.
"So let's distract them."
A hand reached through the door as the three Shadowhunters stood, getting ready.
"You better get ready." Izzy said as the vampires got the doors open and started charging at them. Izzy's whip slid from her wrist into her hand. Alec held up his bow and quiver. Amelia held up a seraph blade and they all started fighting. Izzy's whip clung around many vampires' necks and pulled them down to the floor so that she could stab them with a seraph blade. Alec shot as many vampires as he could and Amelia sliced and stabbed vampires as they charged at her.
      "This is fun." Alec smiled.
"Keep coming, boys." Izzy smiled as more vampires approached the door.

Amelia, Alec and Izzy caught up with Clary and Jace. Clary stabbed a vampire with a seraph blade and killed him. Clary looked at Jace and looked quite sad.
      "I killed him." She said.
"He was already dead." Jace told her.
"Plus he wanted to kill you, remember that." Izzy smiled. "She did great, right?"
"Thanks, but ... it's not about me." Clary said. "Let's go find Simon."

"Simon!" Clary screamed as they found Raphael stood with a knife to Simon's neck.
"Clary!" Jace shouted. "That's not gonna do any good." He grabbed her arm.
"Listen to him, Clary Fairchild." Raphael said. "Put it away." Raphael talked about their weapons. "I've had more than enough of your friend for one day. I'd love to cut his throat. Don't give me a reason. Put it away!"
They all put away their weapons and Raphael seemed to relax.
"Simon. Simon, are you all right?" Clary asked.
"I wouldn't say all right ..." Simon started to say but got interrupted by Raphael,
"Stop talking!" He said. "Now ... if you would all just follow me. Let's go!" Raphael started to walk, still with a knife to Simon's neck. "Come on, let's go! Up here now!" They all followed Raphael. "That's right, get down there now! Get down there or I'll kill him right now!"
"Look, we're not gonna hurt you. We just want Simon." Clary said.
"I'm glad you do. We don't!" Raphael answered. "We wanted you." Izzy, Alec and Amelia had started walking up the stairs to the door to outside.
"Well here I am." Clary said.
"Stop." Jace grabbed hold of her arm.
"I said wanted. Not my idea." Raphael told them. "Now, get out! Go!"
      "Not without Simon!" Clary argued.
"Shut up! Open that door right now or I'll kill him right here." Raphael demanded.
      "Listen to him!" Jace said.
"But Simon will die if ..." Clary argued.
Amelia opened the door and Raphael hid from the light.
      "Clary, go!" Simon shouted.
"Go! Go! Go!" Raphael shouted and they all walked out of the door. "Go! Take him! Go!" Raphael shoved Simon towards Clary and Jace.
"I don't know how to thank you." Simon said to Raphael.
"Don't thank me. You mean nothing." Raphael answered. "This is about Valentine and the chaos he can bring."
"Come on!" Jace shouted and shoved Simon through the door.
Just as he was about to close the door, Raphael called for him. "Jace Wayland!"
Jace turned around to face Raphael.
"Remember who your friends are." Raphael said before Jace turned back to the group and closed the door behind him.
