Chapter Five: Skill to Success

As the "Chapter Four: This is Just the First Start", ends when the teens faced their next dragon called DEADLY NADDER. Ivory Lionheart races to the Nadder and once more... Ivory contests with Mazrieth Hunter as if someone hits the Deadly Nadder will win... The other teens will on ready as well as they will fought the 'ferocious' dragon... 

Who will be the first to shoot the Nadder?

MAZRIETH'S POV

Flashback

Before the training starts, Caitlin explained the rules of this training...

"When the training starts, your objective is to aim and fire to the dragon's body in three shots... Three shots will enough to prove you success and get passed to this training..."

Raven raised his left hand and asked, "Um... Trainer, why there are five arrows here?? If three shots needed, why five arrows??"

"Good question... The purpose why you have five arrows for in case you didn't hit the dragon and some left will earn you a great shot..." Answering Raven's question.

"This training will once improve your accuracy skills and help to kill a dragon... Even the Monstrous Nightmare will earn you a chance to get a boyfriend or girlfriend, or the Gronckle or the Skrill or even the most fastest, intelligent and dangerous dragon, the Night Fury..."

'Night Fury?' I don't seen any dragons like that in the past. 

"This training also had a purpose... This training will not just improve your skills but to also exercise your eyes and arms to pinpoint and fire your direct target... If your accuracy is good, you may able to shot the dragon but also be alert... Because this training's true objective is..."

'So not just accuracy but it also has other intentions'.

"The true objective is learn about alertness... In order to succeed this training, you all be alert...and if you a chance to shoot, remember to aim it... The first one who'll get three shots will succeed into the next training... Good luck..."

Flashback ends...

As everyone continued running to avoid the fire blast of the Deadly Nadder, I struggled to aim fire to the Nadder's body... So if someone tries to shoot three arrows, will win... Well, maybe I'll think how to fire this...

'And remember, if you hit one of the spines of the Deadly Nadder, the poison will soon appeal your veins and start to spread until you... DEAD! Touch the spines or you're DEAD!! So, always learn precautions with that dragon...'  I once learn this from the Book of Dragons since yesterday I've spend reading at the Great Hall... (So that's the reason why she's 'late' in training).

The Deadly Nadder is on the move to fire its blast... When the dragon blasted at us, Jaden turned to northeast direction and stopped, "Being distracted is enough for me... You're mine!!" Jaden yelled as he sudden aim at the Nadder's body and starts to fire... The Nadder was been distracted by 'us', Jaden fired his arrow.

SPLASH!! It hits!! 

The paintball that hit the Deadly Nadder's body splashed its color and spreads... Basically, Jaden has one score...

"I did it!!" He succeeded and manage to get a one point; overjoyed, "Two points left for me..."

"Jaden Haddock gets one shot at the Nadder... Two shots left..." Caitlin said.

"Oh... Impressive... Looks like I'm gonna make my first move..." I impressed of what he did... But if I didn't do everything, this might be a bad luck for not passing it...

"I'm gonna do something...or else... I won't get a chance to avenge my family..." I muttered, thinking if I don't have any chance to kill them...the responsible for their death. 'Shit!'

As all of us, dodge all fire blast, "Heh!! Jaden's got lucky for this... I'm gonna hit this in that dragon's body... I'm gonna win this!!" Ivory showed that she's not lucky to have someone shot it first...

Ivory run towards and tries to aim it fast, but she alternately changed her direction and run again... While running, Ivory encounters Silver as he also going that way which Ivory's direction going the same like him.

"Sil--- Silver!!" Ivory shocked and cannot stop her legs from running.

"He--- Hey?! Watch out!!" Silver shouted, tries to change his way but his speed didn't stopped him... Ivory and Silver banged their heads as they've banged their body.

"OUCH!!!" Both of them shouted their head pain... "Hey, what's that for, Silver?!!" Ivory later complains.

Silver moved his legs, standing himself and noticed that the Deadly Nadder's eyes was on THEM...

 "Oh, Thor!!" As the Nadder opened its mouth and starts to fire, Ivory stands and look upon the Nadder, "Look out!!" Silver screamed and pushed her away.

Silver pushed Ivory to dodge the Nadder's blast, but he also fell down after he pushed her. Although, the Nadder managed to blast it however, he and Ivory avoided.

"He-- Hey, are you okay??" Silver asked.

"Um... Yeah..." Ivory replied.

Until the moment after they've saved by themselves, the Deadly Nadder suddenly approached them but Mazrieth appears back and aim her arrow to the Nadder's.

As Mazrieth aim her bow with an arrow on it, "Hey, have a taste of THIS!!", shot it but the Nadder used her spines to stop from shooting.

"Oh great!!" 

I run away from it to avoid that spine shots. When I ran, Ivory and Silver aim their arrows and... SPLASH!! They've hit it!!

Caitlin observed us and said, "Ivory Lionheart and Silver Lytenstorm fired their first arrows... While Raven, Camicazi and Mazrieth hasn't...give their fire to the body..."

On the other hand, I hide myself from that blast... And as I looked by it, it gone... 'Heh!' I'm safe.

"But... That spines', really give me a shock... If I continued to aim after that sharp thingy managed to blocked my arrow, I could died out there..." I started to worry myself as I nearly kill myself. Haha!! But still LUCKY!

While hiding, I saw they'll started to shoot the Nadder's body. I don't know if Camicazi got hit by her arrow to that thing or Raven hitting his arrow to Nadder's. Unlucky for me...

'Although, I'm gonna think it first'... 

I looked back to the Nadder's first appearance...The Nadder's was really speedy legs, poisonous spikes and rarely firework blast... The dragon is also that 'smart' and I really need to think what I'm gonna to do... While thinking, I observed them... One by one, I saw that they've almost hit all one arrows at once...except me.

'Only Mazrieth has no backfire against dragons'.

'In order to succeed, I must think of what I gonna do. Come on, Mazrieth. Think!!' What should I do??

Grinned, smiled, "Heh! I'll have an idea..."

I actually copied this from my notebook but they are some of them.. I've changed it from its glimpse of my sentences.

For real, I have a notebook that completes all the chapters of "Dragons: The Viking Saga"... I'd managed to complete it but... I need to edit it.. :)
