Chapter Thirty-Eight: Dragon Riders

[Narration POV]

"Alright, everyone. Go choose your dragons to ride!", the red-oranged hair girl said towards the wandered teens who seems being amused as she demonstrate to train a real dragon. But with her both hands. 

"Aye!", Camicazi nodded.

"Let's proceed...", Mazrieth smiled at them. 

All of them chooses over to their dragons to ride with. Camicazi chose the Thunderdrum, the Tidal Class, Raven chooses at the Monstrous Nightmare while Silver and Ivory did picked the Moldruffle and Shockjaw for themselves. Shianne lastly, choose the Deadly Nadder. 

As they've prefer for riding dragons after they've choose, they did noticed that some of them didn't have one. There are two riders didn't rode onto the dragons. "Huh, guys?"

Mazrieth and Jaden have no dragons to ride. "Looks like you and me have no one, eh?", the raven asked smirking at her. "Shut it. There is another dragon to ride with, Jaden. Follow me!" Until, she grabbed his hand and ran away with him besides her. 

"Whoa!", Jaden gasped. "Where are we going, Mazrieth?"

"Dungeon. There is a dragon in caged, Jaden. And we're gonna ride it.", she replied. 

"Okay?"

Jaden and Mazrieth continued as they've ran much fast until they've reached onto the dungeon. They did saw a wooden door barged onto the area itself. She approached as she opened it with her push. She even though, having a difficulty to carry it. "Agh man!"

He sighed and goes over as he helped Mazrieth until they've opened the door. "Thanks, Jaden...", Mazrieth thanked at Jaden.

"You're welcome, Maz...", Jaden smiled back as he welcomed. 

When they get inside, a loud roar gave them surprise. "Whoa! What the thor?!" Jaden huffed as he rubbed his hand at his chest to calm himself down. "What was that?" 

"That was the dragon, Jaden...", Mazrieth said sarcastically. "And that...is the Triple Stryke..." She said over when she goes towards a noticeable caged dragon as it was shown that the dragon who lastly fought by her was there. Imprisoned. 

"Agh.. Don't tell me we're gonna ride that dragon?!", Jaden exclaimed in frustration. 

Mazrieth turned her back when she hears Jaden's voice yelling. "Yes it is.. Since there are no other dragons to ride with, let's ride over this.. But before that, I need to train it, Jaden.." Jaden shook for offense and tried to oppose her decision but she stopped him with her glare. 

"Don't say about anything to stay away from it. So if I we're you, better earn your trust to that beast.. Whether you liked it or not.."

"Fine!", Jaden groaned in defeat. 

Mazrieth goes over to the dragon and dares to calm it down. "Hey, it's okay..." She smiled awkwardly. "Nobody will hurt ya... Don't worry, I'll getting you outta there...." She assured to the Triple Stryke. And then, she unlocked the gate. When it does, the Triple Stryke finally goes out from the cage. The dragon roared with his growling yet scary for them, it goes approaching. The claws fidgeting as it came slowly at them. Jaden went behind at Mazrieth as he felt little scared at it. But she remained still. 

Instead of attacking them, the Triple Stryke...bow at them?!

"What the Thor?", Jaden gasped. 

Mazrieth learnt on what the dragon meant. The Triple Stryke really thanked her to set itself free from being caged. It nods at her and asked a permission to stroke its head. "Whoa!" Mazrieth smiled until she let her hand swirling onto the Stryke's head. "I told ya, Jaden. It is easy..."

Jaden frowned but he sighed, "Okay, so what now?"

"Riding the dragon, right now...", Mazrieth replied.

"Ah what?", he went blanked. 

"Don't worry. It is safe, Jaden.." Without any doubt from her, she climbed onto the Triple Stryke's back as she felt a dragon skin, little itchy at her bottom. "This is temporary but we need to be hurry to make it in time!" Until, she lend a hand for Jaden to be pulled up for having a backseat for him. 

Jaden scratched his head and then, he finally took her hand; pulling him up with Mazrieth's strength. "Like I said, it'll be fine..."

Mazrieth patted the dragon's head. "What do you say if we go out?" She asked at the Triple Stryke and replied with a simple roar. "Well then.."

But before they've fled, they've noticed the others riding onto the dragon's back. "Whoa! Wait, is that--?"

"Mazrieth!", the girl with a braided hair yelped as she glided her Deadly Nadder towards them. "So this is where you went, huh?" 

"Yeah, duh!", Mazrieth scoffed. "By the way, has everyone got their dragons?"

"Aye!"

"Yeah, Maddy.."

"Of course, but it is too scary..."

"Alright, everyone...", Mazrieth smiled at them. "Let's go!" Until she, Jaden and the Triple Stryke rode their first way and the others followed them. As they've flied out for the first time, everyone felt enjoyed but some did yelled very loudly. 

"Alright, let's head to the Dragon's Nest!"

Their first flight as the team was about to reach their destination, the Dragon's Nest...
