In life we have a tendency to believe what we hear, read, and even see just because we haven't taken the time to explore other possibilities or truths. Or because we've never experienced a situation that left us doubting or scarred emotionally. I was once told by a wise man: "Only believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear, and life will be so much easier." When we are young our innocence prevents us from from seeing things for what they really are. Our lack of experience and exposure to the deceitful, immoral, and greedy sides of people, business partners and professionals can leave us vulnerable. If you've never been taken advantage of by a dishonest used car sales man than your more likely to buy that car for everything it's not just because they sold you what you wanted to hear and not what you needed to hear. If you've never been taken advantage of by one of those infomercials promising you something for free for 30 days and leaves out the part where you must call to cancel if you don't want to keep the product or service than you become another victim of their deception. It usually only takes once for us to be burned, used or tricked for us to think twice before making that same mistake twice right?
I'm not saying that every one you do business with or entrust your business too is going to screw you but I'm not saying never either. In a perfect world all real estate agents would be completely honest with potential buyers about the homes imperfections and costly upcoming repairs. So often first time home buyers sign on the dotted line thinking they got a great deal, 3 months later they are faced with tens of thousands of dollars worth of major repairs that should have been fixed before the house ever hit the market. The first thoughts crossing the home owners minds is that our agent "Never" would have sold us this house if they knew the sewer system was completely backed up right? Wrong!!! Or, "They would have told us about the double murder that happened in this home 2 years ago if they had known right?" Wrong!!
I have given you just a few examples of why we should take all necessary steps to protect our lives and our futures. I have also created some fear and doubt in the minds of those fortunate enough not to have cost your self thousands of dollars and dream home they can't feel safe in. Have you ever heard the saying "It sounds to good to be true'? That really is true!!! You must learn to listen to your intuition and trust your gut in order to protect your self. Not only are you looking out for your physical health but your growing your souls ability to determine what's good and real from what's deceptive and fraudulent. If your faced with a big decision you owe it to your self to research all the details and available information on your own to make sure your final decision is one you've personally reached. You don't want what someone else has to say or do making your mind up for you. If it makes someone nervous or uncomfortable to ask lots of questions or request proper proof to back up said facts than they probably have something to hide and eventually you'll scare them away.
