With Ms. J's kind words on my mind I drove down the road confident that I could do it, I had all my motivation. Still, walking into my new job gave me chills.

The club had come alive since I was there earlier that day. There were strobe lights of every color and the disco ball spun, making dots of lights dance all around the place. The bartenders flipped bottles of the finest liquors before filling shots. And the people in the building waved around wads of cash around, all I saw was green. And when the night was over with..

I would be taking it with me.

I looked at my phone, it read 11:15, which means I had 15 minutes to get ready before show time. As I waited for them to tell me to go to stage, my body was shaking. I sat infront of my locker looking at the floor.

"Here." a girl with grey hair said handing me a shot of something, I shook my head

"I don't know you, I watch lifetime, I'm not taking that." I said

"My name is Storm, and Boss will kill me if I let you go up there with your knees knocking together, I know what the first night is like. So here, you're going to need it." I took it and drunk it all at once. I had never really been a drinker, only a couple of times with my ex bestfriend Celest so the drink burnt my throat, but it loosened me up.

She walked up to the stairs of the stage, we passed by girls who only had dirty looks at me or laughs. "Don't worry bout them whores, everybody wants the first dance of the night and you got it. Make sure you don't try to do too much, if you don't have much experience with poles, work the floor. Dance sexy, look them in the eye, touch on yourself a little.. make him think it's only the two of you in the room. That's how you get that motherfucker to come out of those pockets."

"EVERYBODY GIVE IT UP FOR THE STAR OF THE CLUB .. NOT SOUTH, EAST, OR WEST... NORTHHHHHH!"

"Well hun that's you, go give them a show" she said to me

"Thanks so much" I said looking back over my shoulder at her

I walked up to the pole twirling around it as the song played

"Mission accomplished, you got me where you want me..So why you over there boy? If you wanna come close, it's all good"

I grabbed my breast, taking my hand dragging them slowly down my stomach. I crawled over to a man that was waved a hundred dollar bill, I let him put it in my bra and bit my lip at him

Going back to center of the stage I watched the men and even some women with their eyes glued on me, even employees stared at me like I was a piece of meat. And in the corner was Lorenzo licking his lips while watching me

"I dare you to come and take me down, had a sip of liquid courage, promise I'ma make it worth it"

At this point I was in a split sliding up and down on the stage, grinding while I watched green fall everywhere around me.

And just like that my 2 minutes were up and the crowd whistled and cheered as I walked off. I should've been happy but I just wasn't. I grabbed another shot taking it to the head

"Girl! You must have worked in another club before!" Storm said to me, I shook my head. "Well you tore the house down!"

"I feel like I sold my soul to the devil" I told her back
