Taking unsure and limping steps with Jin providing himself as a crutch for you to hold on, the ice pack still held onto your head by your free hand, both of you stepped out of the changing rooms and into the cafe. You'd ust made your way around the counter when you heard the familiar jingle of the bell at the door. It was easily acceptable that it was habitual for you to associate the sound to Taehyung's arrival, and when you looked up, your spirits slightly lifted at the thought, it only dampened when you noticed another familiar person walk in - somebody who wasn't Taehyung. You frowned. 'Hey, you're- you're Min Yoongi, aren't you?'

The black haired man stopped, his head snapping to you and he slowly nodded his head as recognition flashed across his ebony eyes, 'Hello, Y/N. I appreciate your memory.' He offered you a small smile, and you returned it, 'Likewise.'

'Can you let Taehyung know I'm here? I have something'- He stopped when he noticed your smile fall, and he glanced at Namjoon who stood a few steps in front of you and Jin. Shrugging his shoulders, he offered Yoongi what he'd made out from Taehyung's sudden departure -'is everything okay?'

"I'm guessing things got bitter between Y/N and Taehyung."

Yoongi subtly nodded, before shifting his attention to you. The man beside you, whom Taehyung had told him was Kim SeokJin, had a protective arm around you. Yoongi almost scoffed. But he didn't let the distaste appear when he asked you, 'Do you want me to drop you home, Y/N?' You looked up at him in surprise, but didn't say anything. And not wanting you to accept the offer, Jin spoke.

'It's fine. We've got her. Namjoon, get the car.' An unpleasant frown etched onto Jin's face as he eyed an unaffected Yoongi. With a shrug of his shoulders, he nodded and bid farewell and left out of the door.

Within minutes, you were in the backseat of Namjoon's car, while Jin sat in the front seat, Namjoon having taken the wheel. You found yourself getting drowsier, your eyelids already drooping. You felt sleep overtake your senses, your breath getting even and calming when all of a sudden -

'What is with you and random men knowing your name, Y/N?' Jin scolded harshly - obviously upset. You were glad he still referred to them as men, at least.

You opened your eyes briefly - too tired to actually bother a glare to counter his - to see he was glaring at you. You sighed, ignoring his gaze and closed your eyes again. Sleep was pulling you into darkness again when his voice unpleasantly woke you up.

'Don't sigh on me, young lady! Who else have you met that I haven't met yet?' Jin was pushing your buttons, and the ache at the back of your head was throbbing madly, just enough to make you snap. You hissed, clenching your teeth before spitting out a response.

'Can you just shut up, Jin?' You yelled back, disrespecting him probably for the first time in the entirety of your friendship. But you couldn't help it, he wasn't respecting your condition and the state you were in. And your social life.

'You're not my mother, okay? Stop treating me like I'm your child! I can live on my own!' You mercilessly pointed out. With him - your best friend for years - taking care of you and feeding you for all the years and helping you get through your tough times - he was just like a motherly figure. And you were inflicting virtual wounds on that figure. You could see Namjoon looking at you through the rear view mirror, his eyes silently asking you to stop. You knew you should have listened to him, but you didn't.

You were hurting Jin's feelings, even what was remaining of his pride.

He looked at you with such intense hurt in his eyes that you felt guilty right then. The car got suffocating - the space closing in on you and you felt yourself hyperventilating. Hearing the car screeching to a halt, your hand instantly reached for the handle, opening the door and your feet got yourself out onto the sidewalk. Your lungs gulped in a handful of fresh night air, and you felt your heart beat calming down - the thundering slowly reducing to thumps. Ignoring the person you held close to your heart who was still in the car, you turned around and walked ahead towards a gate.
