'Sure, Hyung.' Jungkook followed Taehyung to a room upstairs, which wasn't being used currently. Jungkook, curious about why he'd led him to a secluded room, opened his mouth to ask Taehyung, just when he turned around to face him.
'Hey, um...can you do me a favor and check something for me?' Taehyung asked, embarrassed slightly, his hand rubbing the back of his neck to show the same. Jungkook nodded, 'Okay, what is it?'
Taehyung turned around again, so his back faced the younger. He pointed to the back of his neck, just where his hairline ended, to a spot under the collar of his shirt, 'I need you check here and tell me if you see a mark.' Jungkook moved ahead and held Taehyung's collar, before pulling it down.
'Is it an encircled star?' Jungkook asked, ambiguous as he stared at the mark. Taehyung's eyes widened, and he slowly felt his heart drop to the floor, as recognition filled his veins. His voice got low, 'Yes. It is.'
Jungkook nodded, letting go of his collar, 'Well then, yeah, it's there. Why?' He immediately questioned, Taehyung dreading the moment. He remained quiet, his face instantly donning a pained expression. He could just wave the younger's question off by telling him it was a tattoo - and hopefully, he'd leave it at that. But right then, it felt as though the weight of responsibilities- too many things, were being dumped on him at an excruciatingly slow pace. Not in spite, but to let him know his fate may not have been the way he expected it to be.
'No...it's- it's complicated. Thanks though.' So he didn't tell him it was a tattoo. Jungkook was young, but he wasn't dumb. Taehyung began leaving the room, his feet dragging on the floor like they were chained to iron balls.
A very confused Jungkook looked at him with a vestige of suspicion, 'You're not hiding anything from my sister, are you?' The sudden doubt that Jungkook expressed had Taehyung stopping dead in his tracks as he was walking out of the room, his back facing Jungkook. He didn't reply immediately. In fact, it took Jungkook a second time to ask, before Taehyung answered him, 'No.'
But before Jungkook could accuse him of lying, Taehyung left the room, this time faster than anything Jungkook had seen. His finger stood suspended in mid-air as his half-asleep mind attempted to contemplate what had just happened.
Taehyung was in the kitchen withing seconds of leaving the room, startling Jimin. He stared at Taehyung with wide eyes for a second longer, 'What?' Taehyung asked, his face dead panned.
'No- nothing.' Jimin shuffled away from Taehyung to sit at the table. While you were still comforting Jin, Taehyung let his mind wander to all the possibilities he could think of, as to why his mark still remained, when you'd finally confessed your love to him last night.
Does it take longer than a day? Does she not really love me, then? Such thoughts swarmed in his head, Taehyung having to walk away from the kitchen and into the living room to have some time to himself. He dropped down onto the cushions of the couch, and let his head fall backwards to rest itself before he closed his eyes to think.
Yoongi pretended to be unconscious as the door opened. A young man, possibly in his twenties stumbled into the room, before closing the door behind him. He shuffled towards Yoongi, 'Yoongi? Yoongi! Wake up!' He shook Yoongi awake, who pretended to open his eyes as it was the first time he'd opened them since arriving at the dungeon. He looked at the male who stood in front of him, who had a worried look stretched across his face.
'Look-'
'Hey, aren't you the same cousin who destroyed my piano?' Yoongi was completely awake by then, as he remembered the man's face somewhere down the memory lane, the incident having occurred not too many eons ago, probably just a hundred years.
'For the last time, Min Yoongi, that was my twin brother!' The cousin gritted his teeth in pure frustration, as his hand fumbled with the bunch of keys he held, before raising them to the hand cuffs Yoongi was hanging from.
'Right.' He grumbled, rolling his eyes.
'What are you doing?' He looked at his cousin's shaking hands as they tried to unlock the cuff of his left hand, before changing the key and trying again, 'I'm setting you free, you idiot.' He hissed, before changing the key again. Yoongi clicked his tongue before he could let slip a word of gratitude for the attempt. But he knew this place more than anybody else.
'Well, then, try the brass key next to the silver one,' Yoongi said, motioning to the big key with his eyes.
His cousin took the key and placed it in the keyhole, the cuff successfully unlocking. His eyes widened along with a smile, 'How did you know?' He asked as he reached for the other hand.
'My father's not the only one who sends people to the dungeons.' Yoongi said as he brought his now free right hand to rub his left wrist, his cousin staring at him, 'Of course not.'
'Give me the keys.' Yoongi asked, and he gave them to him. While he waited, Yoongi walked stealthily across the room and reached for Namjoon's cuffed hands. Just as he was done with uncuffing his hands, Namjoon fell limp into Yoongi's arms. Yoongi grunted against the sudden weight, but managed to turn around to face his cousin.
'Leave before someone finds you.' Yoongi grunted, his body beginning to feel the immense pressure from Namjoon's weight and from having his hands suspended in the air for too long.
His cousin shot him a concerned look, 'Are you sure-'
'Go!' Yoongi puffed and disappeared, teleporting himself to the safehouse where he knew all of you were taking refuge in.
Being the owner of the house, and possibly the Keeper of the Barricade (since he didn't remember putting any long time ago) that protected his house and the people living inside, Yoongi had no problem in appearing in the living room, where Taehyung was probably napping.
Taehyung heard a thud, and another, before he opened his eyes that went wide at the sight of Yoongi and Namjoon collapsed on the floor.
He rushed to them, taking Yoongi in his hands, before yelling, 'Y/N! Yoongi and Namjoon!'
You heard it clearly, and Jin stared at you with a shocked look, before springing up from his seat that sent his chair falling to the floor. He took off into the room where Taehyung's call came from. You sat there, staring at Jungkook and Jimin who'd already began getting off their chairs when it clicked you that Taehyung had called for you.
Sprinting out of the kitchen, the three of you together rushed into the living room, where Taehyung was walking away from with an unconscious Yoongi in his hands and Jin kneeling in front of Namjoon whose head lay on Jin's lap.
You began walking to Jin but Jimin caught your shoulder, 'Go to Yoongi Hyung. We'll take care of Jin and Namjoon.' He smiled at you reassuringly and you glanced at Jin whose back remained facing you, feeling a little too unsure. You felt a squeeze and you looked back at Jimin. He offered you a smile and mouthed a 'Go'. Nodding your head, you left the room to follow Taehyung upstairs.
You followed him into a room that was unoccupied and waited until he put Yoongi to rest on the mattress before he checked his pulse and made sure he was alright. Once he made that sure, he walked back to you, his face clean of any expressions. But when he looked you in the eyes, you saw all the emotions stirring in them - fear, worry, and anxiousness.
'He's fine. I'm worried about Namjoon. He doesn't look like he could survive another day.'
