Ashton trudged out of class with the rest of the students, his head hanging low.

"Hey, Ash." Luke came up out of nowhere and slung an arm around the younger boy. Ashton blushed like crazy but Luke didn't seem to notice.

"Hey, Luke." He answered.

"We're gonna hang at Michael's today. You in?" Luke asked.

"Sure." Ashton was only going because Luke was gonna be there.

"Great! C'mon." Luke grabbed Ashton's hand, making him blush again.

He dragged him through the crowd of students and out the front gates.

Luke stopped, still holding on to Ashton's hand.

He looked around the parking lot, searching for Calum and Michael.

"Where are those idiots now?" Luke muttered. Ashton giggled quietly and Luke's heart swelled.

He loved that giggle so much.

He loved it more when he was the reason Ashton giggled.

"Oi, losers!" Calum called out from the window of Michaels car.

The two boys got into the backseat and Michael sped off.

"Drive slowly!" Luke called out, holding onto the seat. His hand was just a few inches away from Ashton's.

"Sorry, Lucas. Life's too short to drive safely!" Michael replied.

"Life will be short if you keep speeding!"

"Michael, I don't want to die today!" Calum yelled.

"Why do you go home with me if you're just gonna complain about my driving?"

"Because it's too far to walk to your house!"

Ashton stayed silent. He was absolutely terrified of Michael's driving.

The car went over a bump and Ashton grabbed Luke's hand tightly.

The blonde boy looked over at him and saw his terrified face.

"Michael, slow the fuck down!" Luke yelled.

Michael finally listened and went back to the normal speed. He huffed.

"You guys are no fun."

"No, we just don't wanna die."

The boys finally arrived at Michael's house all in one piece. Thank god. Ashton thought.

Ashton sat on one the small sofa in Michael's room. The rest of the boys sat on the floor and began to play the playstation.

It wasn't like he couldn't play. Ashton was just not as good as the others.

"You sure you don't want to play?" Luke asked him.

"Yeah, I'm sure."

He watched as the boys played. His eyelids grew heavier.

Ashton would always get tired easily.

He found himself slowly falling asleep.

Ashton was too deep in his sleep that he didn't notice the blonde boy had stopped playing the playstation. He didn't notice he sat next to him. And he didn't notice Luke wrapping his arms around his body and cuddling up to him.
