Ashton's POV

I tried to aim properly but I just couldn't do it.

I started to get frustrated at the air rifle in my hands.

You can't do anything right.

You're useless.

Pathetic.

I felt my heart sink as those words swarmed my head

I couldn't cry now, not with everyone here.

I blinked rapidly, forcing the tears to go away.

"Here, I'll show you." Luke's voice came from behind me and I felt his chest press against my back.

I blushed at the position we were in, and hoped Luke wouldn't notice my flushed cheeks.

"You just tilt your head like this. And then look into this part and shoot." His finger that was on mine, pressed down and I looked up to see that I actually hit one of the targets.

"See?" Luke said.

I passed the rifle on to the next person and turned to look at Luke.

I smiled bashfully. "Thanks, Lukey."

"A- anytime." He replied.

Anthony jumped around happily. "I actually hit a target. Did you guys see that?"

I giggled at the huge grin on his face.

I looked and saw that Luke was looking at me.

"What?" I asked quietly. Did I have something on my face?

I quickly brought my hands up to my face and wiped at whatever was on my face.

"No! There's nothing on your face." Luke said quickly and I stopped wiping my face, feeling stupid.

"Then why are you staring at me?" I asked him.

"N-no reason." He stuttered out and I frowned.

What if there was something on my face?

(A/N Yeah, BEAUTY! sorry.)

"We're gonna go canoeing after this." Anthony exclaimed, grinning wildly.

"Isn't it kayaking?" Luke asked.

"What's the difference?"

"No idea."

"Yo! What up my people!" Michael yelled loudly, slinging an arm over Luke's shoulders.

Luke shoved his arm off. "We're not your friends. We only use you for your car and food." Luke joked.

Michael gasped and placed a hand on his chest dramatically. "Is he speaking the truth!?"

He looked at me and I shrugged. "It's true."

I looked over and saw Luke smiling at me before turning away.

"Oh my god!" He placed the back of his hand on his forehead. "I think I'm going to faint. Calum, catch me."

Michael fell with a loud thump on the ground.

"Ow!" He exclaimed, rubbing the back of his head. "You were supposed to catch me, Calum!"

"Well, I jumped this way and you fell the other way. You should've been more specific, Clifford."

I giggled at the two.

"C'mon, Ashton. We're not friends with them." Luke said, slinging an arm around my shoulder.

I smiled shyly and we walked away from the two bickering boys and Anthony who was trying to do a handstand.

"Ashton?" Luke asked and I looked up into his beautiful blue eyes.

"Yeah?" I asked, quietly.

"If you fall, I'll actually catch you."

I don't think my cheeks have ever gotten to this shade of red yet.
