Ashton's POV

I threw up at lunch time.

I hated it.

I washed my mouth out with water and popped some mints in my mouth.

(A/N When I typed popped it came out as poooed, it was awkward.)

I held the sides of the sink tightly, my knuckles turning white.

I was shaking.

All I saw in the mirror was someone ugly. My hair wasn't perfect. My lips were too pink. My eyes were a dirty, ugly colour.

My lip started quivering and I bit it to stop the tears from coming out but they came out anyway.

Why did I have to be so ugly?

I heard people entering the bathroom and I wiped my eyes and hurried out, accidentally bumping into someone.

"Watch it, fatty." I heard his voice and I ran out, my head hanging low.

There was no one in the hallways since everyone was probably in the cafeteria.

I wiped my eyes furiously, trying not to think about what that guy had said.

Once I was sure that I wasn't gonna cry, I headed to the cafeteria.

I got to the table and Luke immediately stood up.

"Are you okay, Ash?" He asked, concern evident in his eyes.

My heart fluttered. Did he care about me? Well, he was my friend so it was his job.

He was my friend.

That was it.

"I'm fine. I was just in the bathroom." I replied, hoping he didn't see my puffy eyes.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah." I replied.

"Okay." We both sat down at the table.

Michael and Calum were fighting, like usual.

"I'm telling you, Batman is better than Superman!" Michael protested.

Calum scoffed. "Batman sucks. Superman is the man, right Ashton?"

All eyes were on me now.

"Actually, I think Batman is the boss." I said.

"Yeah, me too." Luke agreed and grinned at me. My cheeks heated up a bit.

"See? I told you! In your face!" Michael boasted.

"You guys are mean. Besides, Luke agrees with anything Ashy W-" Luke kicked Calum and he groaned, holding onto his knee.

"Geez, Luke. That hurt!"

I looked over at Luke and saw him glaring daggers at Calum for some reason. His cheeks were tinted pink.

"Are you going to get your food, Ashton?" Michael asked, completely ignoring Calum and his hurt knee.

"I can't be bothered." I shrugged.

"You can have mine." Luke offered, pushing his food tray towards me.

"No, it's fine. I'll just eat later. I'm not that hungry anyway." I replied.

"Oh, okay."

I didn't want to lie to Luke.

I sighed.
