Ashton's POV

I felt my stomach sink as I heard that.

"It's so obvious you both like each other."

Calum's voice rang in my head, over and over again.

Luke liked someone else.

Someone else liked Luke.

I gulped, fighting the tears back. My chest hurt, like it was tightening. The books in my hands fell to the floor and my arms dropped to my side.

I was shaking violently.

I didn't know why it hurt so much, but it did. The tears finally spilt out silently.

I didn't realize that the others had seen me until I heard his beautiful voice.

"Ash!?"

I couldn't face them. They would think I'm stupid and that I'm just being childish.

I turned around quickly and ran. Warm tears still fell down my face. I shot into the boys bathroom and into a stall, locking it behind me.

And that's when I broke down, sobbing.

I didn't know if anyone heard me or not. I just cried and cried. Until a voice came from outside the stall.

"Ash? Ashton!?" Luke banged on the stall door and I tried to stop sobbing.

"Ash, baby, open up please. Tell me what's wrong."

My stomach fluttered as he said baby. He probably didn't mean to say it.

"Please, Ash!" Luke pleaded and I wiped the tears from my face.

I got up slowly and unlocked the door, chewing on my lip nervously.

"Ash! What's wrong?" Luke held my face in his hands and I bit my lip so no more tears came out.

His blue eyes scanned my face and I gulped.

"I- I was just umm.... feeling sick." I lied, hoping he would buy it.

He did.

"Oh god, Ash." He breathed out and pulled me into a warm hug.

I hugged back tightly, burrying my face in his soft shirt. I didn't want to let go.

He smelt really good.

He likes someone else.

I tried not to think about it and willed the remaining tears to go away.

Luke broke away from the hug and held my face again.

"Hey, don't cry, Ash." He whispered, wiping away the tears that had silently fallen out. "We'll take you home, yeah? The nurse here is annoying."

I nodded slowly.

"C'mon." Luke said. We left the bathroom stall.

I washed my face, in an attempt to get rid of my red rimmed eyes.

"Let's go home." Luke wrapped an arm around my shoulder and he made my hand go around his waist.

I never ever wanna leave this position.
