The heart of the joker

Chapter 13

"ready Ryder?"giggles Joker,

I wipe down my dress and smile, "im ready"

we were heading to a restaurant and i was going to play the woman in distress, I had a blonde wig on and a black strapless dress with black high heels, Joker was hoping to catch batman and make him pay for what he did to him, but me knowing who batman was i secretly didnt want him to, but i knew that batman would get out before Joker got him, 

"now, Steve..you look after my lady in there, if i hear anything that means Ryder has been hurt it will be your life to pay..." Joker warns the thug that will be my 'date',

Joker calling me 'his lady' made me feel all bubbly but i hid it and Steve got out the van, i kissed Jokers cheek and he held my hand,

"be safe darling"he says,

"i will"i grin, 

he presses his lips to mine in a short kiss and i get out the car, Steve slips his arm around my waist and leads me in, i dont turn around to see the van speed off, me and the thug walk in,

"hello have you got a reservation?"asks the man at the desk, 

"urm..yes Steve Wilson?"

the man searches through the list in his hand and he smiles lightly when he stops, 

"ah yes! table for two?"he asks, 

Steve nods and the man motions to follow him, he leads us to a nice table in the middle. I had an ear piece so the Joker could talk to me,

"hey doll.. do anything to sell it, within reason"

"alright"

the thug looks at me and places his hand over mine, he says sorry quietly and we just talk about nothing and order a light food. Half an hour later Joker comes bursting through the door and has thugs surrounding the area. He walks over to me and takes me in his arms, his arm around my neck and a gun to my head, the thug pretends to try and fight Joker, 

"hey! Joker, get your own!"he shouts, 

Joker shoots him in the head, Joker moves his hand over my mouth helping me hide my smile, 

"hello there doll"he says making it seem threatening when it wasnt, 

I squirm a little, 

"help!"I scream and Joker covers my mouth again, 

"Everyone, hand your money in!"he laughs,

People start putting money in but then Batman storms though and i hear Joker giggle, people start running out and into the street. 

"ahh batman! hello"

Batman gets closer, 

"let her go."

Joker cackles and holds me tighter, i fight to keep the act up and not to laugh with him,

"or what?"he laughs, 

suddenly batman launches his fist out and punches him square in the face, the restaurant was empty other than us and the thugs. Jack lets go of me and I fall to the floor. I hold Jack's hand. Batman knocks out and ties all of the thugs up, I kiss Jokers hand but the Batman lifts me and pulls me out the building, 

"AHHHH!!!"i scream, 

Joker runs out the building and starts shooting, "Ryder!!!"he shouts, 

Batman couldnt hear him but I heard it through the ear piece. I was over Batman's back so he couldn't hear me talking,
