Third person
The two friends agreed to spend a few days apart to let their parents cool off a bit. They didn't want to risk getting in more trouble by seeing each other. Once their parents had moved on from the missing curfew part of day they would be together again.
Leo was rather bored during their time apart. He missed his friend dearly and craved his attention. But they were doing this for a matter of days and then everything would be back to normal. He could wait a while before they saw each other again. It wasn't like it would kill him.
The vampire did many things to try and keep him occupied, but it seemed like no matter what he did that he couldn't get Blake off his mind. It was like Blake had literally burned himself into Leo's brain. Of course the vampire first brushed this off as missing his friend. He figured it was because he was so used to seeing him every night.
In reality his feelings were romantic. Leo had a crush on his friend for quite some time now, he just never realized it. How could he? Blake was the only friend he ever had. There was no one that could point those feelings out to him.
As the day droned on he only missed his friend more and more. It seemed like every minute the feeling got worse. Why did he miss his friend so very much? Leo just couldn't figure it out.
While Leo struggled to figure out what his feelings were, Blake already knew very well that he had a crush on his friend. Blake possessed these feelings since they were just kids. Only when they were older did he figure out what they were.
Blake desperately wanted to tell his friend about his feelings towards him, but was always too scared to. He was worried that if the feelings weren't mutual that things would become awkward and fall apart. He didn't want to lose the only friend he actually had.
So Blake kept his feelings to himself. He figured the other was probably happy enough just being friends. He wouldn't dare risk bringing romantic feelings into their friendship. He didn't know what he'd do without Leo.
Blake was really only happy with Leo. The vampire made him happy without even trying. Before he knew him he was sad most of the time. He kept it hidden from his parents so they wouldn't worry. But he desperately needed someone to be with him and Leo became that person. Perhaps that's why Blake loved him. Yes, Blake knew he loved Leo. He knew all along. He just told himself that he couldn't say anything about it.
Leo sighed as he put his book down. He couldn't focus on anything but his friend. He couldn't help but notice how he was always happier when they were together. It was like he had butterflies in his stomach. If his heart beat that would probably be racing too. Leo soon came to realize that he wanted to be more than friends.
