Blake smiled his entire walk home. He couldn't be happier. His best friend was now his boyfriend. He was in love with his best friend. In his opinion life couldn't get any better at the moment.

The sun was just beginning to rise by the time he walked in the door of his home. His parents were already asleep. Blake knew because he saw them asleep together on the couch. He smiled as he saw them, hoping that would be him and Leo some day.

The flame boy went up to his room and sighed. It wasn't a sigh of exhaustion or stress, but rather a sigh of happiness. He couldn't have ever hoped for a more perfect day.

He rolled up in a blanket and eventually fell asleep. Candy sweet dreams about his partner paraded his mind and caused a smile to form on his face. The vampire always made him happy.

Several hours passed as the two slept through the day. Leo didn't actually need sleep, but it was a good way to spend the day when he stayed in. Plus dreaming was another way to be closer to the one he loved. His dreams about Blake were always sweet and he never wanted them to end.

Yes, Leo had dreamt about his friend before; on many occasions actually. He always awoke with a smile after such dreams. He never thought of it as romantic feelings until now.

The vampire decided to do something sweet for his partner tonight. He remembered Blake telling him once that he liked spaghetti, so Leo was going to plan a picnic for them. It would be like their first official date.

Of course the teenager would have to keep his thoughts under lockdown while at the castle. He wouldn't dare risk his parents hearing about his new relationship. Leo knew that if that happened it would all be over. He would be forbidden to see Blake until he turned eighteen, most likely without giving him an explanation. He couldn't let that happen to the one he loved.

Leo began to cook the spaghetti once it was about an hour before sundown.  He wanted to make sure the food was cooked but not totally cold by the time they met up. Although if it did get cold Blake could simply just heat it up some. It wouldn't really be an issue.

Leo continued to cook and prepared the picnic basket he planned to bring with him. He couldn't wait to meet up with Blake. He wanted a nice romantic night for once. Sure, there had been times where a night could have been considered romantic, but this one actually meant something. It was their first real date.

The vampire left the castle once the sun had set. He walked through the forest, eager to see his lover. He knew that the night was going to be wonderful and he couldn't wait for it to begin. The two would finally have a first date.
