My Ride With Destiny

Chapter 22

*Emily's POV*

I heard sobbing.. what the heck? I thought to myself. I shook the thought away even though it was so intriguing. I squeezed Sunny to make him go to a trot. God- this was the best. Riding around trying to find my way outta this forest. Woopee. I couldn't wait to get back though and for summer to show Sunny once again. I found the trail to lead us out of here. It lead I the brook and then the bridge then the exit then the field the Vanslykes and the road and home. The only place I wanted to go was home. I shed a tear and continued onward. Sunny felt me also and speed up. He jumped to the right and threw me off balance. He stopped dead in his tracks and flicked his ears around to listen to whatever it was. 3 deer jumped across the path. I patted Sunny

"Oh silly boy. It's just deer."

And squeezed him forward. I could see the Brooke. He once again jumped but this time forward and up. He reared up and I smacked my head on a branch and fell to the ground hitting my head with a big thump. I looked up to see sunny running away and from there it all went black.

*Brandon's POV*

I couldn't believe it. I was crying. Legit crying in front of Jake. I had no idea what he would think of me now. Great- just great.

"I'm sorry." I said between sniffles

"It's totally right man." He said trying to comfort me.

"No it's not. She's gone. We'll never find her now."

"Yes we will." he argued with me. "Yes we will..." he stared at the ceiling and rubbed my back. I stood up suddenly trying to break the silence.

"Ok. Then let's get going." I said wiping my nose.

"Ok." Jake said

We went out of the hut and heard foot steps.. more like 4 of them. Maybe 3... Charging at what seemed like our direction coming from the right of the hut. We snapped our heads in that direction to see none other than Sunny. I shouted in delight

"SUNNY!!!!!" and ran to him like a fish swims to food. I hugged his neck. I looked up- where was Emily?
