My Ride With Destiny

Chapter 20

*Emily's POV*

I couldn't take any more of it. No more. No more waiting. No more freezing. No more shivering or hunting or making fires or cooking cat or rabbit or whatever I could find. No more searching everyday for something that could never happen. I cried. For the first time in several years. I cried- it had been a long time since my family had tried to get in touch with me since day 1. I think they have given up- think I've gone to god or to the wolves. But they are wrong- I'm still out here waiting. But I'm not now. No more waiting. I went to sunny.

"Hey buddy. how you feeling?" I asked him as I rubbed his nose as he knickered back to me as his own response.

"Do you think you can stand bud?" he knickered again and immediately stood.

Never EVER have I seen a horse stand so fast NOR heal that fast. I was blown away! I couldn't believe it. I took him outside and walked him around I tied him to a tree and fetched the tack. saddle, saddle pad, bridle and all. I packed up what was left of the camp and rode away from the spot I had called my home for 4 days. It was actually kinda sad. But I knew I would be home in a while so It didn't bother me to much. We rode off in what I assumed to be the direction of the hill.. well with the tree that had the overgrown bump on the side- I could tell we where in the right direction.

*Brandon's POV*

Me and jake went back to the brook from yesterday and continued on. We stopped and looked around and remembered yesterday. I looked at the ground and saw an imprint. I bent down and jake asked me,

"What's that?"

"A horse shoe print.. Sunny and Emily!! jake! we need to follow these!!"

"Alright man! leggo!!"

And off we were tracking on all floors, hands and knees looking for horse shoes in the mud. Course that was long lived by the frozen ground that happened to start at the cliff to where the tracks led to... wait. wasnt there something about a cliff in Ems text? I thought back to it... hmm.. brook.. running.. cliff... the valley!! this cliff lead into the valley!! she said she was in a hut underneath the cliff!! I found her!! I found my sister!! I yelled to jake and we ran- all the way down. And there it was- the hut. We walked in and called out but nobody answered. Nobody was home. Not even sunny. Where was she and how long had she been gone?

Aye readers! So new chapter new day.. she should've stayed where she was.. but haha she didn't. The book is close to an ending but it's gonna Go out with a BANG! Lots of action in the last 5 chapters.. which aren't here yet.. and I think I'm gonna make a sequel to it based on what happens in the last chapter.
