"Hey," Kaneki greeted with a calm voice.

How could he be so calm about this? This, was not okay to me. The whole situation was absurd.

"What are you?" I asked curiously and fearfully. It was clear to me that he was not human. Because what I saw, it was just downright strange.

"A ghoul," he answered nonchantly. I arched my brow in confusion. I've heard of these creatures but he couldn't possibly be one. They weren't real.

"Stop screwing with me," I replied to him.

"I'm not screwing with you. I'm a half-ghoul, half-human. It's rare and almost impossible but it happened to me. I wasn't born this way and I can't control it sometimes. I know you must be extremely confused but if we sit down and talk I can explain."

After hearing and processing all the words I wasn't sure how to react. My head was spinning in all directions and I wasn't sure what to say or do. This wasn't the Kaneki I knew. I stared at him once more, trying to find words to respond back at him.

I then began to feel dizzy and I placed my hand on my forehead. I looked at him, and muttered a 'what' before my eyes closed and I fell to the ground...
