I hugged Hide. "H-he left town." I sniffled and sobbed into his chest and he hugged me. And at the moment I could have sworn I heard him crying. But, I didn't call him out for it. He had every right to cry. We both did.

"I wish I knew why.." I muttered. Hide then stiffened and shifted his arms uncomfortably. Did he know something? That was impossible.

"Do you know why he could've left?" I asked, cautiously.

Hide shook his head quickly. "Why would I?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know."

Hide then hugged me tighter and we both sat there in silence.

We were currently both laying down on my bed, crying about our long lost bestfriend, Kaneki. I wish I could tell Hide Kaneki's secret but I couldn't. I wouldn't.

Even if Hide deserved to know. It wasn't my position to tell him.

I sighed against his chest. "I need some alone time if that's okay," I told him.

He nodded as he stood up from my bed. "Take as much time as you need."

I closed my eyes, leaning back on my pillow, trying to feel at ease.
