Golden Moon

Mate? ~2~

       We were about to go to the basement until I thought of something.

       "Hey, want Kaleb to join?" I asked. Alice shrugged.

       "Sure, let's grab him." We went to grab Kaleb and after about 3 minutes of trying to convince him, he agreed. He changed to a simple pair of shorts with no shirt and we left. Wondering why neither Alice and I are surprised he's in just shorts? Yeah, I train with him often. Through all 17 years of our lives, Kaleb has always trained without a shirt. I've gotten used to it. Alice, however, has gotten used to it through the many, many, sleepovers of him slipping into my room and falling asleep with us, shirtless. It's not very hard for her to ignore him being shirtless because they aren't mates. Would be really surprising if they were, though.

       We went to the basement and agreed for at least an hour of training.

~Time skip~

       After we were all worn out I check how long we had been training. Two and a half hours. Not bad. We went upstairs and Kaleb went to his room to take a shower. Alice and I went to my room and I turned on the shower.

       "You first or me?" I asked Alice as I grabbed clothes for us. Alice fits my clothing since we are the same size and both have nonexistent breasts, and she visits so often it's fine whenever we lend each other clothing. We know we'll get it back. Alice shrugged. 

       "You can go first. Or you know to save time we could both go..." Alice muttered the end but I raised an eyebrow at her since I had heard her.

       "Okay then, me first it is," I said, going into the bathroom.

~Time skip~

       After a quick shower, I came out dressed to find Alice staring at me intensely. I slowly walked over and put my dirty clothes in my laundry basket. "Alice...? Why are you staring...?" I asked, waving my hand in front of her. She shook her head,

       "Sorry, just thinking." Alice got up and headed to the bathroom with her clothes before she stopped. "What if our mates were females, too?" she wondered aloud, facing the closed bathroom door. My eyes widened at her.

       "What do you mean? What? Why?" I asked, standing from my bed. I took a step to her and she shrugged. Alice turned to face me.

      "I dunno. Just heard that recently some guy found out his mate was also a guy and it got me thinking if our mates will be boys like expected or girls. How would you feel if it was a girl?" Alice asked and I shrugged.

      "I dunno. I'd be fine with it I guess. As long as she's cool with it, I'm cool with it. If she's uncomfortable with us then... I'd do my best with lettering her go. I mean, we have mates for a reason. We're paired with certain people for a reason. I don't want to throw that bond and reason and hopefully love away over genders." I explained. Alice nodded in agreement and left to take a shower.

      After Alice's shower, we decided to explore the human world. No, it's not a whole other world it's just all the area that isn't wolf territory. The area that isn't cut off from everywhere else. Anyway, we decided to explore that. We also decided to go to a cafe since we were a bit hungry. After a couple minutes someone took our order and then we were eating. Alice and I sniffed and frowned ever so slightly from all the different smells in the cafe. 

      "Lots of different smells..." Alice said. I chuckled. Humans don't know werewolves and other things like that exist so we have to keep it a secret. Of course, there are hunters who know but most of them only hunt things that have done wrong and deserve to die in one way or another. We finished our food and wondered around. We ended up stopping at a park and swinging and laughing until we eventually were just sitting on them, barely swinging.
