Alice's mate? ~10~

~still in Jamie's POV~
       I woke up slowly to light and whispers. Where am I again? I remembered last night and remembered I was in Kalevala's room. I felt to my right and didn't feel Kalevala anywhere near and opened my eyes, only to close them right away again from the bright light. I groaned and covered my eyes with my hand.
       "Why is it so bright...?" I mumbled. I slowly opened my eyes again and uncovered my eyes. I saw everyone kneeling over me, making me jump up, accidentally headbutting Kaleb. "Ow.," Kaleb muttered, holding where we hit. I held where we hit as well and apologised.
       "Sorry.. But what were you guys doing hovering 5 inches above me?" I asked, looking at Kalevala. She just shrugged. Yup, thanks, Kalevala.
       "We were bored and you were the last still asleep." She replied simply.
       "I'm hungry!" Alice says. Kalevala chuckled and helped me up. Then we made our way to the kitchen. Kalevala made waffles. And I must say, they were not only good, but I also admired her as she made them, since she hadn't done anything with her hair and it was messy and she was running around the kitchen and cooking with it like that. I don't know. I can't explain what I felt when she was doing that. When she finished cooking and sat down to my right to eat her own, since I was done with mine already, I got a brush and brushed her hair. I swear she was faintly blushing when I was, too. While I was brushing Kalevala's hair, I realised that my hair was in a high ponytail. I must've done that while half asleep, knowing how crazy my hair gets when I sleep on the floor. And it's just for the floor, too! It's perfectly fine down in a bed, but not the floor. My hair is crazy with it's "conditions," and all. Oh, and also, make sure I don't go to bed right after taking a shower and it's still wet. It'll be even worse then. After we were done with eating, we changed and decided to walk around.
       "So what now?" Kalevala asked. Oh yeah!
       "Hey, Kalevala?" I said. She looked at me and tilted her head. 

       "Yeah?"

       "I'm not gonna call you Kal... I like Kalevala better. Okay?" She smiled brightly and nodded.
       "Yeah, that's fine!" And then she wrapped her arm around my waist and pulled me into her. Alice looked like she could scream, and I felt like I could melt.

       "Ahhhhh you guys are so cute!!!" Kaleb chuckled at Alice and I felt a shift in the air. I looked at Kalevala and knew we both had the same idea. We wanted to kiss each other. Somehow Alice could see it or something because she started chanting, "Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss." Kalevala rolled her eyes.
       "Just saying, Alice, if we wanted to we wouldn't with you chanting." Alice pouted, but Kalevala didn't give Alice time to change her mood before she pulled me into her and kissed me, resting one hand on my cheek and the other at my waist. This time, I did melt.

~Kalevala's POV~
       I'm not sure what got into me but I suddenly wanted to kiss Jamie very much and so I did. I could tell she wanted to, too, so it wasn't a problem. Her lips felt so soft and I felt her melt into me and then wrap her arms around my neck.
       "Well, didn't expect that after just 4 days, but you do you," was Kaleb's response while we kissed and Alice literally squealed.
       "OH, MY GODS YOU GUYS ARE SO CUTE NEVER STOP KISSING. EVER. THAT'S YOUR NEW COMMANDMENT FROM ME," is what I could comprehend before pulling back from Jamie, then her words became nonsense. I just looked at Alice with a raised eyebrow.
       "Yeah, that's not happening." Alice sighed exasperated.
       "I swear Kal you know she melted into you!! You can't say neither of you enjoyed it!" Alice started pouting and Jamie started blushing. That wasn't actually my first kiss, but it very well could've been hers.
       "So, who was that their first kiss for?" Kaleb returned with a grin. I watched as Jamie bit her lip and raised her hand and I smiled at her. "Okay, so are you going to suddenly stop training for forever or are you going to join me, Kal?" Kaleb came towards us around the counter since we somehow made it back into the kitchen and Jamie tilted her head.
       "You're so cute oh my gods," I muttered while looking at Jamie. "Yes, training is part of school, but I train every day so I don't lose my amazing touch," I explained then flipped her hair. Jamie chuckled.
       "Whatever you believe, Kal. Though I suppose there's not much reason to anymore because you don't have a problem with staying healthy and we all know Jamie will always love you for who you are, so." Kaleb said, leaving the room now and we followed.
       "Gods, I feel so lonely now," was all Alice said as we all went to get ready to change, Alice picking clothes of mine as if they were hers. Before she disappeared into the bathroom to change, though, I noticed her and Kaleb shared a glance. What was that about? I forgot about it though when Jamie tugged on my sleeve.
       "Um, I wanna train with you guys, but I don't have clothes fit for it." Sure, we were the same height, but she was so cute.
       "Don't worry, Alice steals my clothes enough of the time so it's perfectly fine that you do, too. Um, here is a shirt and some leggings that should fit. Just tell me if they don't. You can change in here, I'll just change with Alice in the bathroom." I walked over to the bathroom door and opened it, knowing Alice didn't lock it.
       "Hey!" She complained when I walked into her not wearing clothing just her undergarments.
       "Not like we haven't changed together. Besides, Jamie's going to change in my room and I don't want to make her uncomfortable." I reasoned. She sighed. While she started to put on some training clothes and I started to take off my normal clothing, I asked, "Hey, what was with that look you and Kaleb shared earlier? It looked a little weird." Alice looked like she was about to choke on her saliva or something.
       "If I tell you, you can't tell anyone, not even Jamie, promise?" This shocked me. Why would Alice not want a single soul not know about something?
       "Hey, you're the one that's telling me, therefore, it won't be mine to tell. What is it?"
       "I met my mate when we met Jamie and... It's a human guy." My jaw dropped open. "See this is exactly why I didn't tell anyone, curse Kaleb for being able to notice something was off I'm so st-"
       I cut her off by covering her mouth with my right hand and my left on her shoulder. "Alice, I am so happy for you why didn't you tell me?" I removed my hand from her mouth and moved it onto her other shoulder.
       "Well..." She sighed. "I don't know, actually. It just never seemed like the right time." I forgot I wasn't wearing a shirt yet until the door to the bathroom opened and Jamie popped her head in and started instantly blushing upon me being shirtless.
       "I-I'm interrupting sorry I'll-I'll go-"
       "Jamie, come here." I took my hands off Alice's shoulders, knowing that a very tiny part of Jamie would think I was about to kiss Alice or something like the sort. As she turned back to me after turning away, I picked up my shirt off the ground and put it on. "Alice was just telling me a secret that she doesn't want mentioned, and she needed my support." I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her into my now clothed side. Jamie sighed.
       "I know. I know that's what was happening but it's just I couldn't help but think-" I cut her off with another kiss and she melted again, but this time she gripped my shirt. I heard Alice sigh a little sadly and I pulled apart. "Are we going to train now...?" Jamie asked. I smiled at her and turned back to Alice.
       "After training, we're going back." Alice nodded.
       "Of course we are." There was a slight groan to Alice's tone but I could tell that she was already excited to find out who exactly her mate was. Jamie looked at me confused.
       "Don't worry about it." She nodded. I made sure my voice was so close than Alice didn't hear before saying, "I hope you enjoyed the view of my near bare chest." At this, Jamie's face got red as a tomato.
       "Wait, what'd you say! Do I even want to know? Know what I've decided I don't wanna know what you said to Jamie to get her to blush so intensely."
       "Probably best." I started to feel my less emotional, normal self start slowly coming back. "Let's find Kaleb, shall we?" I bowed to Jamie and Alice and held out my hands for them. They both instantly took my hands and we walked down the hall, acting like we were fancy princesses.
