You and Dazai went back to the office. When (L/N) saw Dazai her eyes sparkled and she immediately rushed to him pushing you aside roughly.

"Dazai! Why did you leave? I thought, we were going to talk about my family's problem!" She asked him

She looked at him with a flirtatious look and winked. Dazai didn't react at her behaving and just came closer to you to wrap his arm around your shoulder.

"First of all, you have to remember, that (Y/N) is my girlfriend." He said strictly "Second, I'm here to work on your case, not become friends with you and third, you're wearing too much make up."

You were stunned and so was the whole agency and (L/N). She didn't expect this. Her jaw dropped and her eyes widened. There was a tensed silence in the room and nobody dared to broke it. You were looking at Dazai, then at (L/N) and again at Dazai. It was the first time, when someone chose you instead of her. Your anxiety started disappearing little by little. Maybe you've just overreacted and Dazai wasn't going to leave you?

When (L/N) was able to speak again she coughed and said

"I'm sorry."

She wanted to go out of the office. Perhaps, she was heading to the toilet to wash off tons of her bright make up. When she was walking past you she whispered in your ear.

"Don't even dare to dream about him."

After that, she left.

"What the hell was that, Dazai?" Kunikida screamed "It was rude!"

"I don't care." He said

He walked with you to the couch, where the ADA's members usually talked with clients and you two sat there, waiting for (L/N). You couldn't look at anything or anybody, except Dazai. You were too shocked after what has just happened.

"We'll have to work with her wether we want to or not. She's a client and it's our job. The director assigned me and you for this case. We'll be working together as partners." He told you, while playing with your hair

You finally felt, that your shock was gone and you could speak.

"Thank you." You said quietly and looked away

Dazai looked at you and blinked twice

"For what?" He asked

You were about to answer, but (L/N) came back and sat on the couch in front of the two of you. Dazai stopped playing with your hair, but he didn't even thought about taking his arm off of your shoulders.

"So tell us what happened and why does your family has problems with Port Mafia." Dazai told her "Please, be as descriptive as you can."

"Well...I guess I should start from this." She began "My father's company was having some problems with another company. That company belonged to his friend...well, he's now his ex-friend, I guess. That man asked Port Mafia to help him. He asked them to get rid of my fathers' company and our family since the company is ran not only by my father, but by my whole family."

"So now, the Port Mafia wants to kill you?" You asked

"Ah, you're so clever, (Y/N)." She said with a sarcasm filling her voice

She crossed her legs and her short skirt, which was barely covering her butt, exposed a bit too much skin. You've also noticed, that when she was in the bathroom, she unbuttoned her shirt a bit.

You felt the lack of air. You didn't want to be there. You wanted to go home and never come out again. Your heart was aching so much, you felt like you were going to pass out from the pain. You wanted to take painkillers or antidepressants, but you left them at home. You didn't though, that you were going to need them again because you were now with Dazai.

The reason of your current state was simple: when (L/N) crossed her legs and was sat in such seductive pose, Dazai's gaze roamed over her body. He was staring at her. She noticed it too and smirked.

You realized one fact: Dazai didn't choose you. He said those words to (L/N) not because he really meant them, but because he had to say them. Officially, he was now you boyfriend and it was kind of his duty to something, when she was seducing him without even trying to hide her intentions. The question was: what was he thinking and feeling? Were his words true? You had no idea and it was killing you.

(L/N) licked her lips as if they were dry and Dazai's grip tightened on your shoulder. This was the moment, you felt tears in your eyes, but you couldn't let them run down your cheeks. You were suffocating and you felt pain in every part of your body. You knew, that you were slowly losing control over your emotions and your ability.

How could you be so foolish? Did you really thought, that someone could choose you instead of a hot girl with perfect figure and pretty face? Did you really thought so? How could you be so stupid! There was no hope for you! With that stupid ability and character of yours, how could even thought, that you can be loved? Fairy tales are more real, than your hopes and dreams! How dared you to trust someone? You were gonna end up all alone, crying in your bed at 3 a.m. and...

"(Y/N)." Someone called you "Are you okay?"

You raised your eyes to look at the person, who was speaking. It was Atsushi. He tapped you on your shoulder to get your attention.

"Are you feeling alright?" He asked again

Dazai was now looking at you too.

"I-I'm fine." You said trying to prevent your voice from cracking "Sorry, I'll come back in a minute."

You stood up and was about to leave, when you suddenly felt a grip on your wrist. Dazai stopped you

"Do you want me to come with you? If you're feeling unhealthy, then I can lead you to Yosano." He said

"There's no need in this. Wait for me here." You answered "I'll be back in 5 minutes."

You rushed to the door, opened it and ran to the bathroom. You locked the door so that no one would disturb you. You turned on the taps, to let the water make some noise. You couldn't control yourself anymore. You knees went weak and you slid down the wall to the floor. You hugged your knees and finally let the tears ran down your cheeks and on your clothes.

You were crying your eyes out for 20 minutes.
