After All This Time.

Jayson tried to focus on the people he was greeting and talking to but could not. His eyes kept following Kate and he made sure to be near her. He wanted to rip of that Kaden's arms.

She looked ravishing in an emerald green gown. It was backless and off the shoulder and those were the exact places Kaden's hands were roaming.

"Let's go home baby" Maria said as she pushed up her cleavage against his arms, her breasts nearly spilling out of her barely there neckline.

"What?" Jayson said as he took his eyes off Kate who was now laughing as she rested her hand on Kaden's chest as the person they were talking to guffawed as well.

He still loved her and there was no denying it but what could he do about that feeling? She didn't love him. She considered him a murderer of their child. He should be beyond angry at her for such accusations but he was hopeless. He loved with her so much intensity that it blinded him to everything else.

Jayson grabbed another flute of champagne and gulped it down. He had now started to feel light headed which was not a good thing as he was suppose to give the closing speech.

"Are you even listening to me sugar?" Maria whined and Jayson felt like snapping her neck.

"Never hit a woman" Jayson calmly repeated in his head as he forced a smile at her.

"Why don't you head home love if you are getting so bored, I still have unfinished business here" he said as he glanced at Kate again.

"You pathetic excuse of a man" Maria snapped at him and stomped away. She had noticed his undivided attention was towards Kate as he kept on repeatedly glancing at her.

Kate noticed as Maria stormed away from Jayson. She knew he was looking at her all through the evening and it was making her uncomfortable. Why couldn't he just mind his own business?

"But he does look gorgeous in that black tuxedo" Kate thought as she discreetly watched him.

"Come on" Kaden said as he pulled on her hand.

"Where to?"

"Come" he said again and they headed off towards the side.

Jayson shook hands with a man whose name he had already forgotten and smiled at him. He excused himself from the group and headed towards the restroom. He turned down the hall and froze on the spot.

Kaden had Kate pushed up against a wall and was kissing her passionately. Her eyes were closed and Kaden's hand roamed all over her body.

Jayson wanted to pry him off her and throw him against the wall and then punch the living lights out off him. He took a step towards them and then decided against it and made a U- turn as he heard Kate moan.

He went straight to the bar.

"Whiskey. Neat" he said to bartender and sat down on the stool. He really wanted to vent out his anger but he couldn't find a suitable outlet so he decided to numb it with alcohol.

Kate reluctantly pushed Kaden away. They were outright making out in the corridor and anyone could walk in on them.

"You are irresistible babe." Kaden whispered against her ear as he softly bit her earlobe.

Kate shook her head and stepped away.

"Later" She said as she tried to tame her hair.

"The restroom is down the corridor," Kaden said smirking. Her hair was messed up because of him and her lips were swollen with flushed cheeks.
