Hiccup's P.O.V
Merida and I were close enough to hear Rapunzel bring up the fact that they needed to flip a coin to decide who would cheer during half time. Ursula became annoyed and kept insisting that Rap should just give the right to them because they were better than her team. Rapunzel didn't let her get away with this and had the ref flip the coin. The Fearlings get the ball first but that's okay, we will just have to work extra hard to win. Now it was Rap's turn. The coin landed on tails meaning our team got to cheer during half time. Rapunzel held her hand out for the mandatory shake but Ursula instead became angry and slapped my twin.
"I'm gonna kill that little-" I fume trying to get to her but a hand on my shoulder tells me I shouldn't. Mer shakes her head at me and I nod. I know my sister is okay. I look down at the hand on my shoulder though. Tomorrow is homecoming and I haven't asked her yet. Even Jack had asked Elsa and gotten a yes. I laugh at the memory.
*flashback*
We were all sitting in our room when Jack comes in dragging Rapunzel and Merida behind him. Anna walks in afterwords.
"What is it?" Eugene bolts up upon seeing the urgency on his brother's face.
"I'm asking Elsa to homecoming but I need help!" He shouts.
"Won't Elsa be able to hear you if you shout like that." I ask somewhat rhetorically.
"No she's reading in the library." Anna says like its the most obvious thing ever. My mouth forms an O as this makes sense in my mind.
"Wait she's in the library? I got it!" Punz squeals excitedly as she bounces up and down.
"Got what." Kristoff asks the bubbly blonde.
"You could write her a book!" She shouts rushing to get a blank book and pen. Jack was ready to anything for Elsa at this point so he grabs the supplies from her.
*Flashback time skip*
"Hey Elsa I found this book that I think you'll like." Jack says as he approaches the platinum blonde in the library. She eyes it skeptically before picking it up and reads it aloud.
"In a land far far away there lived two individuals, The snow queen Elsa, and thre guardian of fun Jack Frost. Elsa was the most beautiful and lovely and everything to Jack. And blah blah blah blah blah! Hey Elsa its Jack. I tried to write you a book but I can't write so it wound up like this. Let's make this more modern. Once there was a boy named Jack Overland. He and his twin sister Merida came with their brother Eugene to Blue Moon High to pursue their dreams. Merida brought her new friend Rapunzel in to meet Jack and his brother one day only to find there other roommate was her twin. Their cousins Anna and Elsa were with Rapunzel and Merida. Elsa and Anna came bursting through the door and Jack could not help but feel blinded by her beauty. He immediately fell for her hard and asked Hiccup for help. They helped him get dressed nicely to go to Dairy Queen with the rest of the gang, including our other roommate Kristoff. But there everything fell into chaos but that's okay. Jack learned more about Elsa and fell even more in love. He learned to be himself around her and that to win her heart he needed to be the best person he could be for her while staying true to himself. I would say the end except this is not the end. I hope our story can go on longer than this. Elsa, will you be my date to homecoming?" She teared up at the last part. She calmly set the book beside her and looked Jack in the eyes. He looked upset, probably thinking she was going to reject him. He thought wrong. She flung herself into her arms and held on tightly.
"Yes yes YES! I WOULD LOVE TO!" She cries as she holds him tighter. Jack laughed and hugged her back. I sat there awkwardly with everyone else while Rapunzel fangirled with Anna.
*end of Flashback*
Well I have an idea. I quickly excuse myself to the rest room but bring an arrow and my knife. I quickly carve 'homecoming?' Into it. Deciding that wasn't enough I pick a rose from the rose bushes that the school has (don't tell anyone) and tie it to the arrow. As I walk out I see Merida sitting by the bleachers with Anna and Elsa. Merida is sitting on the ground in front of them since they were on the first row. I pull out my bow and load the arrow.
"Please work, please work, please work, pleeeaaassseeee work!" I mumble as I shoot the arrow. It lands not even a centimeter from her foot. I sling the bow over my arm and start to approach her. She picks up the arrow right as I am in front of her. She looks up at me before looking down at it and reading it. I pull the Rose off and tuck it behind her ear.
"So what do you say?" I nervously ask.
"Yes! A million times yes!" She yells as she hugs me tightly. The whole stand erupts in cheers along with the cheer and football team.
"That's my Twin!" Jack and Rapunzel shout while Jack and Kristoff whistle.
"That my Little Sister!" Eugene mocks shouting earning a glare from Rapunzel but I don't care she said yes. Suddenly the whistle sounds telling us to take our places. The lights on the field switch off and we walk to our places. Suddenly two spotlights switch onto us. Merida and I raise our bows in the air to be met with thunderous applause. We slide the arrow into place, perfectly in synch, and light the arrows on fire. We pull back, aim and release.
