Merida's P.O.V
     I am so tired of hiding myself away. I can't avoid Hiccup forever, he's my best friend's brother and goes to the same school as me! I just need to let it go as Elsa would say. More like let him go. 'Come on Merida you are tough' I tell myself as I get dressed. I throw on white jeans and a blue green tank top with my cowboy boots and head out.
      "Hey Mer!" Rapunzel cheers from the couch. I wave hello and walk over to Elsa.
      "Hey Els! I heard about Jack. Congrats. Anyways I'm meeting up with a few friends at the bakery, wanna come?" I ask while pulling my hair out of my face. It's actually cooperating with me today so I'm feeling a sudden surge of confidence.
      "Sure, but you do know that Hiccup is going to be there right?" She asks uncertainly, whispering his name. It comes as a dagger to the chest. I need to move on.
      "I don't care," I shrug, "I'm moving on." She smiles warmly and places a pale hand on my shoulder, "Good for you." I smile at her and pull out my phone to text the friends we are meeting up with.

M: Hey Astrid! You up?
A: Yeah. Been up since 5. Wassup?
M: Having a get together at the bakery by campus with a few friends. If you want you can bring that Heather friend of yours with.
A: Really? Sounds like fun let me text her.
...
A: Okay she's in! What time?
M: 10:00, Cya!
A: take care Mer
A: Lol I can ryhme
M: Just shut up and get ready 😂
     Okay so Astrid and Heather are a go, so let me just text Honey Lemon.

M: Hey HL. Meet up with some friends at the Lucky Cat Cafe, you in?
HL: Of course! Could GoGo come?
M: just about to text her
HL: YAY! Okay so what time?
M: 10:00?
HL: Perfect! See you there!
M: Bye :)

      "Okay my friends are in. We are meeting them at ten o clock." I tell Elsa who nods and hurried to get ready. We have to leave in five minutes to get there on time. Two minutes later she emerges in a blue sundress and silver flats.
       "Bye guys! Elsa and I are heading out!" I cheer happily as I drag her to my car. It's a red sports car I got for my sixteenth birthday last year. I started school late though so I'm almost a year older than everyone, same with Elsa. We pile in and start driving to the cafe. When I get there I see Hiccup and Jack in the corner. Of course! That's how Elsa knew. Her eyes beg me to allow her to go talk with her boyfriend for a few seconds to which I oblige. I look up into for my cyan eyes to meet Hiccup's green ones. I sigh and walk over to him, if I'm moving on I can't stay mad at him forever right?
      "Hey Hiccs." I whisper when I'm in ear shot. His head shoots up and he looks around in confusion to find out who said his name, only for his eyes to land on me.
      "Merida? Your talking to me?" He asks and I laugh shaking my head yes.
      "I can't stay mad at you forever." I joke but everyone knows I very well can and am capable.
      "You have every right to though. I was a jerk. I should have been nicer about it and not just bulldozed through. I was only caring for myself and my grief at the moment. I'm sorry." He sighs sadly. I hold my hand out for a shake with a goofy grin on.
      "You're right, you were a jerk but that's okay. So was I. Friends?" I say as he looks at my hand before accepting.
      "Friends."
      "MERIDA!" Someone shouts suddenly and jumps on my back. The blonde leans her head over and peers at me from under her large glasses.
       "Hey Honey Lemon." I laugh as she hops off and inspects Hiccup.
        "Tadashi did a good job! You feeling better?" She asks while I silently laugh as Hiccup struggled to figure out who she is. Then it clicks.
      "Oh yes thanks." He mumbles sheepishly. GoGo and I share our nod of hello before someone taps my shoulder. I turn around to see a blonde with a braid and blue eyes in a blue tank top and grey shorts with black ankle boots on. As she always says, it isn't an outfit without the boots!
      "Hey Astrid." I say hugging the strong girl tightly as she returns it. Then her mouth opens when she sees Hiccup. At first I think she likes him so I was about to say go ahead but then she punched him in the arm.
      "OW! What was that for? We've never even met!" He shouts as he rubs his arm and I burst out laughing.
      "That was for breaking one of my best friends' heart." She growls but then smiles and offers her hand, "Astrid Hofferson."
      "Hiccup Haddock." He says dreamily shaking her hand.
      "Heather Deranged." Heather also offers her hand. Hiccup accepts it but doesn't take his eyes off of Astrid until I nudge him.
      "Huh? Oh yeah. Hiccup Haddock, nice to meet you." He awkwardly chuckles.
      "Awe wittle Haddock has a wittle crush." I whisper causing him to elbow me and glare at me with daggers. I laugh before linking arms with my girls and heading to the table.
     "So what's the deal with you and that guy Merida?" Heather wiggles her eyebrows at me.
      "Oh he's my ex but we are friends now." I smile. She grins deviously.
      "Oh so he's single then, eh Astrid?" I laugh knowing what she's doing but Astrid only seems slightly fazed if that.
     "He's a nice guy but not really my type. I'm independents and don't need someone who will slow me down." She tries but her cheeks are slightly tinted with red. We all laugh at her lie.
      "Okay then what about you Heather." I chuckle as her mouth drops open and she's at a loss for words.
      "W-well I..."
      "She likes Fishlegs!" Astrid cries out and pats an angry Heather's back.
      "The guy with the welsh mix!" I cry out in laughter.
      "What? He's cute and I find him funny." She laughs slightly. We all burst into fits of giggles.
       "Okay enough boy talk." She laughs with us as we quiet down a bit.
       "Yeah cuz we all know I'm a forever single lady and Honey has it bad for Tadashi so no need to mention her." GoGo mentions and we all start laughing while Honey trips over her words. We keep talking until 2:00 then we all head home in our separate cars. It was nice to get out of the dorm for once though and make amends with Hiccup.
