Coming Home

Anna's P.O.V
      "Hey Punz." Jack sadly chuckles while I sit on the edge of her bed. She had her covers pulled over her face and she slowly lowered them for us.
      "Punzie your hair!" I gasp before I even think about the words coming out of my mouth. Kristoff quickly takes his large hand and puts it over my mouth so that I don't say anything else. Rap only giggles.
      "I know pretty awful." She sadly laughs, "wait where is Hiccup?"
     "Right here. Sorry takes me a bit longer to go places." He nervously chuckles while Rap gasps upon seeing his leg, or more like lack of leg.
"Your leg!" She cries, her eyes watering as he painfully rubs the back of his neck.
"Yeah. Sort of non existent anymore." He chuckles trying to avoid her eyes.
"Okay! Is there anything else I have missed during this mess!" She glares at all of us.
"Well there was the winter formal which Jack and Elsa won, and Eugene refused to go without you which I found really cute. The spring fling is in three weeks and Kristoff and I are nominated for the king and queen. The sky is blue. I got chocolates last week and I'm babbling now. Okay I'm going to shut up." I run on in my nerves.
"Awe sweet Eugene. Elsa, Jack, I am so proud of you guys that is so cute. And Anna don't tell me you went totally crazy after that chocolate," I shake my head and she smiles proudly, "good girl." Then we laugh just like old times.

Hiccup's P.O.V
Rapunzel and I are finally going back to school today! It has been three weeks since she was in surgery and this Saturday was the Spring Fling. All of us were rooting for Anna and Kris. Rap dyed her now short hair brunette so she would fit in with our family more. I am honestly a bit scared to know what people will think of my prosthetic leg.
"Well this is it." Rap slightly giggles nervously, raising her shoulders to touch her ears as she does so. Our friends were already inside the building waiting for us as we stand in front of the school. Rap goes first to hold the door for me. I can hear collective gasps from inside then walk in. The gasps become louder but then, as I link arms with Rap I notice something. The lights are off. All of a sudden they turn on and everyone throws confetti. There is a huge banner that says 'WELCOME HOME HICCUP AND RAPUNZEL HADDOCK!' I can see the tears of joy welling up in Rap's eyes.
"Surprise." Eugene says with Merida walking behind him. Soon the rest of the gang followed.
"Thank you!" Rap squeals and stands on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek. I take the chance to pull Merida aside.
"You helped with this?" I ask her as waves of emotions flood over me.
"Of course you idiot. You may still be a jerk for breaking my heart but you have your reasons and I need to respect them. Besides, I'm not going to let you come in without a bang." She smiles a smile that holds both sadness, pain, warmth, and love. I pull her into a hug for thanks. I silently thank the maker that we were on the road to recovery, both physically and mentally. Then I wake up from the dream to find myself a very angry math teacher.
       "Mr. Haddock, your condition does not prevent me from giving you detention." He growls. Oh crap. Welcome home to me!
