I wake up the next morning to the sound of my phone ringing. It takes a minute for me to realize what the noise is because I spent most of the night tossing and turning. Once my brain fully wakes up, I blindly reach for it on the nightstand.

"Hello?" I mumble into the phone without looking.

"Hey Olivia, it's Collin."

I freeze under the covers at the sound of his voice, unsure of what to say. I thought I would have the whole day to think about how I was going to bring up the love scene to him. What was he doing calling this early?

"Oh, hi Collin,” I answer, lamely.

"You sound weird. Are you still in bed?" he asks and I glance at the clock to see it’s almost eleven.

"Yeah, I, uh, had a long night." I sit up quickly and scramble for something else to say. I'm still upset and confused over his love scene last night with Mindy, but I don't want to bring it up until I knew what to say.

"Why are you calling this early?" I finally ask.

"Do you want me to call back later?" His voice sounds defensive.

"No, I just thought you would be at the set.”

"I actually had to go up there last night, so they are giving us today off. I was calling to see what your schedule was like for the rest of the day?" My heart starts to pound at the opening he gives.

"Why did you have to go to the studio so late?" I ask as casually as possible and hold my breath while I wait for his answer.

"Just a couple of little scenes we had to take care of. Nothing important." My breath rushes out of me and my chest constricts in pain.

"Oh." Is all I can think of to say.

"Is something wrong? You sound different,” he asks with no idea there’s world war three going on with my heart and mind. I can’t act worth a darn, so I know if I don’t come out and ask him about last night, he will continue to notice my weird behavior. I know I'm going to worry and stress about the whole situation, so I decide to just come out with it.

"Did that man not tell you I called last night?" I can feel my heart beating faster, praying this isn't as bad as I think.

There’s a slight pause. "No. When did you call?"

“I’m not sure what time it was. But, after I got done talking to Sam, I came to my room to call you and some man answered."

"What did he say?" he replies, cautiously.

"That you were busy and couldn't come the phone."

"Oh." He breathes a sigh of relief and I feel my anger start to build.
