34. Their Plan.

J- Virat is in Bangalore. He won't be disturbing us.
R- Okay. I will be there in 10 minutes. Be ready.

With that he ended the call. It was so great to hear my best friends voice again. I mean, I know Hazel was my proper proper best friend, but Ranbir had always been my male best friend, and Aditya had always been his male best friend.

"Am I okay to go like this?" I asked Rits, pointing to my clothes.
"Go for it! It's not a date is it!" She laughed.
"That's true, but what am I even meant to talk about?" I whined.
"The truth!" She replied.
"And that is..."
"That you miss him, idiot! And that you don't want to do this anymore." She said, and I finished the sentence off for her.
"And, I want to be his friend again!" I said with a smile, and Rits nodded.

Before I knew it, 10 minutes had gone, and there was a knock on my door. I quickly looked at Rits and she smiled and me and nodded. I sorted myself out, and opened the door to see Ranbir Kapoor.
I didn't know what to do, so out of no where, I literally jumped on him, giving him the tightest hug i've ever given. Finally, I pulled away, and he gave me the most confused look.

"I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to do that. Well, I did, but I didn't-" I quickly said but Ranbir cut me off.
"Don't worry." He said with absolutely no expression on his face. No happiness. No laughter. No sadness. No hate. No love.

I waved bye to Rits and left the house, shutting the door behind me.
"Do you mind if we just sit on the nearest bench instead of Starbucks?" I said.
"Hmm." Ranbir hummed yes in response, and we started walking off to the bench, which wasn't far away.

"So. How's it been?" I asked Ranbir as we sat on the bench.
He gave me an 'are you stupid' look.
"What?!" I asked.
"What do you mean, what? It's been a week Jaya. Nothing much has changed other than I didn't have you in my life." He laughed sarcastically.
"Ranbir. You have no idea how much I have missed you." I looked at him.
"Hmmm." That's all he said in response.

"Ranbiiiirrrrrr!" I whined. His face stayed as serious as ever. I pulled my infamous puppy eyes, and he immediately broke into laughter, which made me give him a huge grin.
"You know I can't stay mad at you for too long." He smiled. "And, that day when I called you things... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to, I was just so angry, and I didn't know what I was doing." He smiled.
"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have acted that way." I said, and with that, he pulled me into a huge hug.

All of a sudden, I saw a flash. No no no, this can't be happening. Not now. Ranbir quickly looked up at me.
"We need to go back to your house, now." He said and grabbed my hand as we literally sprinted back inside my house without getting papped anymore.

"You're back quick! Hey Ranbir." Rits said whilst watching TV.
"There- there was paps." I said, out of breath.
"Ohh! You don't want Virat knowing do you!" Rits laughed.
Ranbir looked at me confused.
"What's happening with Virat?" He asked.
"Oh, basically, Jaya is obsessed with him and she like likes him, but they're not together, don't worry!" Rits said with a smile.
Ranbir looked back at me, his mouth forming an 'o' shape.
"Oh my God!" Ranbir said in the most girliest voice, with a huge grin.
"It's really not what yo-" I stopped, realising what he said.
"Wait, what?"
"You like Virat?" He asked as he slouched down on my sofa.
"Um.. kinda." I said and sat opposite him, next to Rits.
"I could have never guessed!" He said sarcastically and smiled at Rits, she gave him a smile back.
"What!! You all knew before I even admitted it?!" I asked with my mouth open in shock.
They both nodded.

"So, what about me and you Ranbir?" I asked, curios to know why he even asked me out. "Did you even like me?"
He shook his head.
"That was mine, Rits, Rohits, Yuvi and Hazels plan to get him to admit he likes you!" He winked. "But, I did get something out of it!" He smirked, I knew exactly what he meant by that.

"I hate you so much!" I screamed and threw one pillow at Hazel, and an even bigger one at Ranbir.
"You won't be hating us, you'll be loving us soon!" Rits winked. I threw another pillow at her.
"Right! That is it." She said and got up, throwing like all of the pillows in the room at me.
"Woah, woah, calm down! Leave her alone." Ranbir said as he came up to me. Thank God for him. "You gotta let me do it too!" He smiled sweetly and threw a pillow at me. That little bitch.

The rest of the evening was Ranbir apologising to me for snaking me, me and Rits pranking him, and just me getting my best friend back. I honestly can't believe that they planned all of this, without Virat or me knowing. How did they even do it?

"Guys!" I said and they both looked at me. Ranbir was lying down on one sofa, on his phone, Rits doing the same on the other one, and I was doing the same on the arm chair.
"Does Virat know?" I asked.
"About...." Ranbir said.
"The thing about us?" I asked in a 'duh' tone. Then. Rits started laughing.
"He'd kill us if we told him over the phone, so we'd prefer to tell him face to face." She said.

I nodded, understanding that he probably wouldn't talk to them again if they did, which would have been hilarious if you ask me.
"So you're not going out with Aditya then either?" I asked Ranbir and his eyes immediately widened when I mentioned his name. He jumped up, quickly said bye to us and hugged me, and left the house in a rush to meet him.

Just then, my phone buzzed. It read 'Message from Kohli'.
"Speak of the devil guys!" I said as I unlocked my phone.

From Kohli What the hell are you doing with HIM?

Anyways, have you all been seeing Virats posts lately? 👀. I'm so curious to find out what he's on about! I reckon it's got something to do with Anushka😏😉. Probably won't be though😂!
