Just as I sent that, I got a reply.

"RANBIR!" I shouted in his ear.
"I can fucking see your phone, no need to burst my ear drums! I'll text the group chat." He screamed back at me.
I clicked on Virat's message.

From Kohli Now what do you want? Did I not tell you not to text me when you see me in the news? I thought so.

"What an idiot!" Ranbir scoffed. "You're better off with me you know!" He said as he moved his face closer to mine.
"Ew, Ranbir now is not the time!" I groaned as I pushed his face away. I quickly sent a screenshot to the chat.

Rohit: And why did you scribble out your previous messages from before Jaya? 😏😏
Rits: Rohit Sharma, shut up. This is not the time!
Me: What the hell do I reply??
Hazel: Just be like 'i've only just seen the news, it doesn't bother me.'
Me: Why would I say it doesn't bother me when it clearly fucking does?😐
Hazel: He doesn't know that does he.

I didn't receive a reply for a few minutes, so I went on the group chat.

Rohit: I think he knows, you know.

Rohit: That he likes you? Idiot.
Me: 😂😂 Whatever.
Hazel: What if all of this is a scam? 😂🤔
Me: He wouldn't do that!!

Me: Nope. It's not like he's going to either.

I sighed, and gave up at that moment. Just then, my phone buzzed. I quickly picked it up, thinking it was Virat, but it wasn't. It was my best friend.

With that, I turned my phone off and drifted off asleep on Ranbir's sofa.
