The TARDIS was drifting in space quietly, nothing happening in the world. The sun was down and the moon was shining over the face of the earth as the TARDIS circled around it. You fell asleep reading a book on the floor, it wasn't just any old book. It was the book about The Doctor. That's when the nightmares started and everything seemed so real. You were running from the cyber men afraid of being turned into one you kept running along with The Doctor. The Doctor was shouting at you to keep running and you did as you were told. Except the next time you looked back he fell and the cyber men had him.
"(y/n)! Go! Run back to the TARDIS! she will take you home" he yells at you.
"No I can't" you cry standing still like an idiot. He fights the cyber men and grabs his sonic screwdriver throwing it towards you.
"Go now!" He yells with a growl in the tone of his voice. You grab the screwdriver and run hearing his screams in the background. You woke up kicking and shaking. You weren't in the library anymore on the floor.
"Hey, (y/n) calm down" The Doctor hushes you and grabs you and holds you close.
"Doctor.." you whimper and hug him tightly not wanting to let him go.
"It's okay, love" he whispers in your ear and rubs your back.
"But...you're okay?" You whimper and pull away from the hug.
"Of course I'm okay, I'm the king of okay" he replies sadly and hugs you again. You accept the hug and hold him tightly.
"Don't leave me Doctor" you hide your face into his neck.
"I'm not leaving you love, never would that happen" he whispers and lays down with you in his arms. He runs his fingers through your hair and kisses the top of the head.
"Get some rest, I'll be here when you awake"
"You promise?" You look up at him
"Cross both my hearts" he smiles at you.
You smile back and lay your head on his chest falling asleep to both heart beats.
