Chapter 37 - Familiar faces

Dom looked surprised and maybe a bit shocked, but his expression quickly softened and turned into a smile.

I couldn't help but chuckle as I felt her move a bit again. I couldn't feel much yet, it only felt a bit like butterflies.

"I think she's strong. I shouldn't be able to feel her move yet." I said smiling, staring at my belly.

"She's a Toretto." Dom said smirking proudly, making me chuckle.

A couple of hours later, we finally reached Goa. We found a really nice hotel, to spend the next couple of days, before we were heading back to the Dominicans.

We unpacked and all met for dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was weird having so much money, you could spend without much thought.

Afterwards Dom and I sat down on our balcony together with Mia and Brian.

"So, where do you want to go after the Dominicans?" I asked them curiously.

They shared a look before Mia answered my question.
"We haven't decided yet." Mia answered slowly turning her eyes from Brian to me.

"Have you decided, where you wanna go?" Brian asked looking between Dom and I.

"No. Not yet." Dom said smiling as he looked at me.

"We talked about La Palma." I added, smiling at Dom.

Mia and Brian shared a look. "La Palma sounds nice." Mia said smiling widely.

The next couple of days was spend, planning for the wedding.
Mia and Gisele helped me pick out a beautiful and simple wedding dress.
The guys held a bachelor party for Dom, while Mia, Gisele and I picked out flowers and other things.
Dom had a few friends in the Dominicans who prepared most of the things for us. It was nice, not having to deal with everything. It was pretty spontauneus, and we didn't have much time.

The next couple of days flew by so fast. It was finally time for us to head to the Dominican, after some wonderful days in Goa.

All the traveling was getting to me, making me exhausted and maybe a bit crumpy too. My whole body was aching.

We all spend the night at Dom's friends house. It was huge, almost like a fortress with guards everywhere. But they wanted to make sure, no one could get to us.

It was getting dark outside and I felt the nerves for the wedding, creep in on me, so I decided to take a walk around the huge garden.

I was just walking around, thinking, as Mia approached me.

"Hey, are you okay?" She asked concerned, hurrying to me.

"Yeah. I'm fine. I'm just getting nerveous for tomorrow." I admitted laughing awkwardly.

Mia smiled reassuringly. "You aren't getting cold feet, are you?" She asked smirking, knowing that I would never leave her brother.

"No." I chuckled. "I love him, Mia. I couldn't be happier." I said looking down at my engagement ring, smiling.

I spotted Dom walking towards us, in the dark. Only the light from the house, made it possible to see.

Mia smiled sweetly at me, before she gave me a hug and left Dom and I alone.

I smiled as Dom approached me.

"Is everything alright?" He asked a bit concerned. I nodded and smiled in response.

"I just needed some fresh air." I explained.

Dom slowly pulled me closer and placed a soft loving kiss on my forehead. We stood like that for a while, just enjoying the quietness.

"Come on. Let's go to bed." He said softly, before guiding me back inside.

The next morning I woke up by the sun hitting my face, still wrapped in Dom's arms.

I just enjoyed the view to the ocean and the safety in his arms.

"Good morning." Dom said sleepily behind me.

"Good morning." I said almost whispering, before I slowly turned around in his arms and looked at him.
I slowly lifted myself a bit and kissed him lovingly.

We went outside to have breakfast with the rest of the "team". Dom's friend did an amazing job, preparing for the wedding and taking great care of us during our stay.

Suddenly Dom stood up from his chair.

"I'll be back in a couple of hours." He said to me, before placing a quick kiss on my lips.

"Where are you going?" I asked confused.

"To pick up a surprise for you." He said smirking before walking off.

After breakfast, Mia and I went to the beach where the wedding would be held, together with Dom's friend, Mando.

They were just working on the last details as we arrived.

I was left speechless. It was so beautiful and it would be even more beautiful at sunset.

I smiled excitedly at Mia, who definetly shared my excitement.

"Has Dom seen this?" I asked Mando.

"Yes, he stopped by this morning. He was very pleased." Mando said in his thick accent.

I felt the nerves creeping in on me again and it didn't help, that Dom just left this morning, leaving me all confused.

I excused myself and took a walk on the beach, before I went back on my own. The car ride made my mind relax a bit.

Dom was gone longer than expected, and I was feeling really tired, so I decided to get a nap.

All the preparations and traveling, alongside me being pregnant was just a bit to much. I just couldn't wait to settle down somewhere, with Dom and our child.

I slept through lunch, only interrupted by Mia checking on me.

"Is Dom back?" I asked sleepily as she sat down on the bed, next to me.

"Yes, he just got here. " She answered smiling.

I was about to get out of bed, but she stopped me. "You should get some more sleep. I'll tell him, okay?" She said with a serious look.

"We'll wake you in a couple of hours, to get you ready for the wedding." She added.

I nodded in response, before I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep again. I was just exhausted.

A couple of hours later, I woke up by Dom wrapping his strong arms around me.

I snuggled closer to him and smiled to myself. I slowly turned around so that I was facing him.

"Hello sleeping beauty." Dom said smiling, making me chuckle together with him.

"How are you feeling?" He asked with a concerned look on his face.

"I'm much better now." I answered, giving him a reassuring smile. Dom slowly leaned down and kissed me.

"Are you ready to get up?" Dom asked.

I nodded, before I slowly got out of bed and got changed. Dom watched me from the bed, with a smirk on his face. "What?" I asked almost laughing.

Dom chuckled and got up from bed and walked to me.

"You're just so beautiful." He said before gently grabbing a hold of my neck and kissed me passionately.

"Are you ready?" Dom asked resting his forehead against mine.

"Yeah." I whispered.

Dom took a few steps away from me and reached his hand out to me.

"Come on. I have a surprise waiting for you." He said smirking.

I slowly and hesitantly followed him into the garden where the others were sitting around a table. You could hear their happy chatter, from the distance.

We slowly walked closer, hand in hand. That was when I saw two familiar faces. One of them, I didn't think I would ever see again.
