Our plans about our own garage, didn't happen.
Brian was offered a job in the F.B.I., so he left soon after. We of course stayed in close contact.

I ended up traveling between Miami and L.A. for 3,5 YEARS. It was too hard to be in L.A. without the family, but I also couldn't leave Mia behind.

I got my own small apartment in Miami and worked at Tej's garage when I wasn't back in L.A. to check on Mia.

I felt a bit bad, leaving her behind for some time, but I couldn't live in L.A. It broke my heart to find the house so empty, without all my boys.

I never told Mia, that I met Brian in Miami and actually worked with him for some time.

Dom contacted me once every 2 or 3 months, but would never tell me where he was.
I finally decided to try and find him.

It took me almost a year to track him down. My best clue was The Dominican Republic, where I had tracked him to from Mexico.

I wasn't sure, he was still there. He could be anywhere in the world, on the run from the cops.

My roadrunner ran out of gas, just as I reached a small town in the Dominicans.

I walked down the street, in a really small and rather poor village. I wasn't sure this if this was the right place to look for him, but now that I was stranded there, I might as well use the time.
I had traveled for so long and I also needed a place to stay for the night before continuing my search for Dom.

A young man, about my age, was walking down the street too. Maybe he could help me.

"Hey! Excuse me!" I yelled at him. He turned around and looked at me, as I hurried to him.

"Do you know, where I can get gas?" I asked with a smile.

"You can't." He answered with an accent.

"Seriously? You can't get gas around here?!"

"You've got to be kidding me." I said under my breath, running my fingers through my hair, frustrated about the fact that I couldn't continue my search.

"Well, where do I find a place to stay the night?" I asked sighing annoyed.

"I'll show you." He answered, gesturing me to follow him.

"I'm Rico." He said offering me his hand.
"I'm Jessica." I said shaking his hand.
His eyes immediately traveled to the cross hanging from my neck.

"Follow me." He suddenly said, before walking off.

We walked for a while in silence.
"So, what are you doing here?" He asked curiously.

I chuckled.
"I'm searching for someone, actually." I said.

"Who?" He asked.

"Dominic Toretto." I said looking directly at him.
