Our Senior Project

Kylie's POV:

As I was playing with baby Dalan, I felt a presence come up behind me. I turned to see Cody with a smile on his face. "Since it's so pretty out today how about we take Dalan out to the park."

"That sounds like a good idea. Let me go upstairs and get the stroller."

"Hey babe do you remember what room I put the stroller in?"

"The one close to our babe"

I really think I can get used to being called babe especially by Cody. This outing and project can really show me what type of family man he is. Our walk in the park was great even though we got a few stares, we learned more things about each other. I feel that the next six months is gonna be great.

A MONTH LATER.

I hear crying come over the baby monitor and I immediately jump up because Dalan sleeps throughout the night so I know something was wrong. I pick him up and notice that he is extremely hot I grab the thermometer to check his temp and it says 101.4. I grab Dalan's jacket and hat because it is a little cool in September I scream Cody's name and in a few seconds he is running in.

"Kiley what's wrong?"

Babe Dalan's temp is 101.4 we need to take him to the ER and call Mrs. Huey."

I layed Dalan back in his crib and went to throw some clothes on so we could go to the ER. I grabbed the baby and his bag while Cody went to start the car. On the way to the ER I called Mrs. Huey but she did not answer so we called Dalan's mom and she picked up on the third ring. I told her what was happening and she said she would meet us there. Mrs. Moore did as promised her and Dalan's father met us there. While they went to the back me and Cody sat in the waiting room to see what was wrong with our little man. Three hours later I felt someone shake me awake. I look up to see Mr and Mrs. Moore staring at us smiling. "

"Dalan's ears are red and that is painful and that is what's causing him to scream so much. We where getting Dalan back in a in two days so it's best that we keep him. We've already talked to Mrs. Huey And she said it was ok so you guys can go and get some rest now." Mrs. Moore said.

"Cody and I would like to thank you guys for letting Dalan be apart of this project with us, and we where wondering if we could keep in touch with him through the years and also bring him the stuff that we bought for him." I said speaking for me and Cody.

"We would like that very much, you kids have a very promising future ahead of yourselves. There are going to be obstacles but I want you to stay strong and get pass them. Y'all remind me so much of Dalan and I when we where younger." Said Mrs. Moore. Did I mention they are a happily married interracial couple as well.

"Well we better get going and please stay in touch and we will be by tomorrow to drop pookie bears stuff off." Cody said before me and Mrs. Moore could continue talking.
