Chapter 20
Gallath's lip twitched as a frown began to settle on his face. "Willow." he said softly. "It's been too long."
"Yes it has, father." Willow replied. "It seems that I've been away for so long that you have begun to lose yourself amidst all this magic."
"You make it seem like you've been on a trip. When in reality you were the one who ran away Willow."
"Yes, I ran away from you and your madness!" Willow said with an edge in her voice.
"My dear I only wanted to help you." he crooned darkly.
"Experimenting on your daughter isn't the way to cure me of my curse. You've gotten insane father! You took to dark magic and now dark magic has taken over you."
"My dear daughter, enough with your nonsense. So why don't you come back to me so we would be able to experience a new world. One where you will be free of discrimination and no one would be able to hurt you. We can start afresh where I will be King once again-"
Willow cut him off slicing her arm against the air. "You are not my father anymore, nor are you the man you used to be. Therefore you need to stop this Gallath."
I watched as Gallath's green eyes flashed with something dark and his body trembled in anger. "I have given you a chance Willow, but you have decided to deny me. What a shame. I guess you won't experience the glory and justice I am doing for you."
"Stop this Gallath! You are doing me no justice!"
"Silence!" Gallath sneered and started to say an inaudible chant. The next thing I knew Willow was thrown against the wall by some invisible force and at the same time Gallath broke free of the vines causing him to land gently back on the ground.
Willow surprised from the sudden attack flicked her hand causing a purple shock of light to come out of her hand and hit Gallath directly in the chest.
"I think we can manage now. Willow will be fine." Susan urged me to go knowing that Gallath was already occupied. I gave a small smile and ran to help Peter.
I felt a presence beside me and I turned to see Edmund running along with me.
"I thought you might need an escort along the way." he smirked causing my stomach to tremble.
"Thanks." I said and ran faster as Edmund cut off anyone who tried to get in my way.
"Watch out!" Edmund yelled and knocked me to the ground. Moments later a minotaur fell heavily onto the ground where I was before Edmund pushed me.
I looked up and tried not to blush when I realized that Edmund was laying on top of me. "Thanks. Again." I mumbled and winced.
"I'm sorry are you alright?" he asked concerned.
"A bit, but you're hurting my leg." I said.
A frown appeared on Edmund's face and immediately got off me and looked at my leg. Blood was already seeping through my pants and it was getting harder for me to move around. It was amazing that I had managed to run at all.
Without thinking he ripped out a sleeve from his shirt and tied it tightly around my bleeding leg.
"It's not much, but it's the best I could do for now." he said and quickly helped me up.
A loud cry of pain filled my ears and my stomach dropped. Edmund tugged at my arm breaking me out of my idle shock.
Soon we managed to make it the bridge where I kept running. Behind me I heard a clang and I turned around to see Edmund fighting off a guard.
