CHAPTER 3
Weeks passed by quickly and I didn’t even notice that I have to go to school. Tyler, Tim, together with Leah, me, and my sister went to a park, malls, and fancy restaurants these past few weeks. We really enjoyed and it’s like we’re back to childhood again. Ty and I talked a lot about things and I found out that he will be also studying at my school-North Ridge High. Same with Tim. He’ll be a senior.
I don’t know why but I like to spend more my time with Tim than Ty. Maybe because even though he had simple jokes, I easily laughed about it. He’s more of like a brother to me which I’ve always dreamed of. I want to have an older brother, not just for protection, but because I’m not really into girly things. Linda, my older sister, is more of like that. We’re the only Cooper’s daughters so yeah, lucky me.
“Hey! Van! Get up. We’re going to be late for school.” An annoying voice woke me up but I pretended that I didn’t hear it. But just then he moved the curtains showing off the sunlight and he went bouncing on my bed.
"............."
Ugh! I can’t stand him.
“What?! Are you always gonna be my ‘knight in shining armor’ who came to rescue me..... or should I say to disturb me from my wonderful sleep?” I said angrily.
“Yeah. I’m your knight in shining armor. More of like your handsome prince.” He winked at me. “Come on. Get up and get ready. You don’t want to be late for first day of school, do you?”
Oh no. I almost forgot. It’s the first day of junior year today.
“Come on!” he reached out his hands to me as he stood up. I shoved it away.
“Okay okay! I got it. Just get downstairs and wait. I’ll fix myself as fast as possible.”
“Okay hon!” He said with a huge smile.
“Stop calling me that!” I shouted to him as I walked towards the bathroom.
“Can’t hear you babe!” he chuckled. Oh great, my day was starting to get ruined all because of that Tyler Monster.
I quickly took a bath and changed my clothes into a jeans and a red v-neck shirt. I don’t really put an effort to what I’m wearing. I put on some powder, eye liner, and a blush on then I run downstairs.
“Careful sweetie.” My mom said as I saw her making pancakes for our breakfast.
“Why is he here?” I asked pointing to Tyler.
“Don’t be rude, Van. He’s our guest. Now, the two of you, eat or you’ll be late for school.”
“Whatever.”
I finished my food and got up from my seat just as Tyler did.
“Thanks for the pancakes Auntie! It’s so delicious!” Tyler commented as we walk towards the door. Mom smiled and waved at us and shouted, “Take care!”
We went outside and my jaw dropped with what I saw.
“Where on earth did that came from?” I asked as I saw a BMW car parked in front of our house. I looked around but no one else was there. “Is that yours?”
“Nah. It’s dad’s car. He bought it yesterday and I asked him if I could use it for school. Then he said yes.”
“You’re kidding, right? He won’t even let you touch his car.”
“But he said yes. Now, shall we?” he offered with a smile on his face.
Wow. He’s really a spoiled brat.
