I woke up and got ready for school. I saw Tyler eating and he asked me to join him. Then we finished our food, said goodbye to my parents and drove off to school.
“Did you join the soccer team? “ I asked as we came to a stop light.
“Yeaap. They’re lucky to have me.” He smirked.
Nice. Back to his old self. I snorted. “As if. You still need to train.” I punched him playfully in his biceps but he didn’t wince or move. Strong, kinda. I punched him again this time harder but still nothing happened.
He laughed, “I guess I’m good enough and you can’t beat me.”
“Wanna bet?” I raised my eyebrow at him.
“You don’t want to lose in everything. I see. Such a brat.”
“Hey! I’m not a brat. You are.” I tried to slap him but he caught my hand.
“Whatever you say little brat.” He smirked at me. Just then I became aware of how close we are on each other. I tried not to blush but it’s too late. My face warmed up just before I could turn away.
“You’re so cute when you blush.” He brushed my cheeks with his thumb and I turned redder than ever. He chuckled and then he let go of my hand and continued to drive. No words came out from mouth until he pulled the car to a free space. We got off the car and he chuckled as he looked at me.
I asked him with a confused look, “What? Is there something on my face?” I asked as I checked if there really was.
“Nothing. Haha. Come on. Let’s go to math class. “
We walked down the hallway and proceed to the math class but just then as we turned to the left through the lockers, I saw the brunette girl. She looks really familiar but I can’t remember her name.
“Hey. Tyler, right?” she said as she approached us.
“Hey. S’up?” Tyler smiled at her.
“Nothing much.” Then she looked at me. “Hey Van. It’s been a long time since I saw you. Nice to see you again.” She smiled at me and I tried to remember her but I really can’t so I just smiled back.
“Well, I gotta go! See you later guys!” she waved at us and walked fast behind us.
“I just met her yesterday. I didn’t know you knew each other.” Tyler said as we walk towards our math class. I just smiled at him and sat on my chair and tried to recall her name and who is she. I’m really weak at memorizing people. Ugh. I can’t remember!
KYLIE’S POV
Wow. I forgot that I should be expecting her here but I never really thought that my new ‘crush’ and she were friends. But then she didn’t remember me. Well, based on her reaction. Small world, I guess.
But, should I tell it to him-about her? Should he really know that I saw and talked to her? Well, it’s none of my business, right? But I really care for him. So much. This is hard. Sigh.
