RECAP.
I saw lots of girls in our math class looking at Ty and some winked at him. Erm… low-leveled girls. They’re flirting with him. I saw him also smiling at them like he was already used to oit in their old school. I also saw guys getting jealous of his presence as if he stole all the girls’ attention, which is true. I also saw some of the jocks clenching their fists and jaws.
Oh no.
Trouble.
Trouble.
Trouble.

Four classes were over and it’s already lunch. I saw Ty talking to some other girls as I headed towards the canteen. I passed by him as he looked at me. I heard him say goodbye to the girls which make them pout for sure. I chuckled. So desperate. He ran to catch up with me and next thing I know, he’s already walking beside me.
“I can see you coped up fast.”I said to him as he opened the door of the canteen.
“Yeah. Those girls offered to help. Good school, huh. “ he commented as he smiled widely.
“Such a flirt.”
“What? Jealous?” he grinned at me.
I coughed. “You got a big head right there, mister.”
“Van. Wh-“
“Hey guys!” I waved to the group pretending I didn’t hear him. I cut him off before he could say anything. He could really be so annoying sometimes. Most of the time. Not that I’m jealous. No. it would never happen.
I went to where our group was seated as I looked back at Ty. “Hey aren’t you coming?” I snapped him off with his thoughts but he just shook his head and followed me.
“How’s your day?” I asked the group as we eat.
“Not really good. See, Richard and I were late with our first class and our History Teacher was so strict. So you know what happened next. She gave us a second home work.” Tania replied as she rolled her eyes.
“Bad start, huh? Ours were great. There’s this new PE Teacher. He’s so hot!!” Ashley squealed with excitement and happiness.
“Good for you.” I told Ashley.
We finished our food for about 15 minutes and I broke the silence.
“Hey, Chuck? Can you go with me to the library?” I turned to ask Chuck. “I’ll borrow a book for our English Class.”
“Erm.. Sure. Besides, we need to talk about.. Um.. Something.” He said with an unsure face.
“Great. Shall we?” I stood up and Chuck did the same. We said goodbye to the group as Ashley and Tania giggled.
“Can you be all alone by yourself?” I asked Tyler not wanting to feel bad for leaving him alone.
I saw him frowned a li’l bit which made me guilty of leaving him but then he smiled and answered, “Yeah, sure! I’ll be fine. See you later Van. Bye guys!”
“Okay!” and the others said goodbye also.
I followed Chuck to the library and looked for the book I’m searching for. I got it and we chose the two seats far from the librarian in case we need some privacy. Which is, really needed. He looks serious. What’s up with him?
“Van, seriously, who’s that guy?” Chuck startled me with his question.
“He’s my childhood friend back when I was. Uh.. 5 years old.”
“The two of you… are you…?” I know what he’s going to ask.
“Oh. No. No.. No. NO Chuck. No way. I don’t like him. He doesn’t like me. Well, I think. But we’re just friends. He can be a flirt but we should not take it seriously. You’re still my best friend you know and Tania. If that’s what you’re worrying about. Are you afraid you’re going to be replaced? ” I laughed but then I stopped as I saw his face. Still serious.
“Come on. Spill. What’s this really all about?”
“It’s not like that. It’s just. . . you know… I don’t want that ‘thing’ to happen to you again. I don’t want you to be hurt again. Get what I’m saying? ” he said in a worried tone.
“Hey. Hey Chuck. I know you’re just protecting me. But there’s nothing to be worried about. I’ll be okay. THAT will never happen again.” I reassured him.
“It’s that bastard Kyle’s fault. If he did-”
“Hey Chuck.” I cut him off as I cupped his cheek with one of my hands. “it’s not his fault only but also mine. I know you’re still feeling angry at him but it’s done. Let’s forget about it.”
He smiled as I said it to him just then I saw Tyler outside the library through the glass. “Ty?” Chuck looked at the door searching for Ty but he’s gone then Chuck turned his eyes on me. “Never mind.” I said. Maybe he didn’t see us. Maybe he just passed by. Oh well, now that Chuck and I settled our problem, I hope everything’s going to be okay. I hope. Even with Tyler.
