"Give me your hand" Mark took her hand into his and slowly lead her into the field of flowers.
It looks familiar but Seungwan couldn't quite grasp the image blurring in her head as she obediently followed him into the field.
He picked a few as they walked through the flowers that grew up to their waist. Flowers of all kind with different colors and shapes.
A gust of wind pushes through them blowing back the strands of hair that fell upon Seungwan's face. Her dried, pale white lips lifted upwards into a grin when she sees Mark hand her a tulip.
"Where are we Mark?" She finally asks when he stops them both in the middle of the field.
Suddenly a tree catches her attention, a tree she's definitely seen before. The flowers were also part of that memory, the memory she couldn't grasp.
"You don't remember?" His ash brown hair is slicked up today. The forehead that's been hiding under his hair now flaunts brightly against the sunlight.
Seungwan took another scan of the area. It's that feeling when you remember it but you don't remember it.
The tree....the flowers....
And Mark, he runs up to the tree and leans on it before flashing her a goofy grin. Her first reaction was of course a small stifle laugh as she covered her mouth.
But the image flashes through her head for a second, the image of Mark leaning on a tree watching her dance...
"This is where you watched me practice my dance! From the mural in your cave or whatever it is" she exclaims and rushes over to his side.
Mark nods ecstatically and grabs her hand pulling her into his embrace, "The last time I came here was when I was with you"
She smiled into the hug and allowed him to bring her peace. The peace she's been searching for ever since all this weird stuff has been happening.
"Seungwan"
"Hm?"
"Can I ask you something?"
She nods her head against his chest.
"Will you be happy?"
His question wasn't thorough nor was it direct. He wanted to ask if she would be happy living together with him, leaving everything else behind and continuing what they had a long time ago.
"What do you mean?" And Seungwan really didn't understand his question.
Manning up, Mark pulled away from her, "Will you be happy living with me, leaving behind everything just to rekindle what we had a long time ago?"
The question threw her off guard. Will she be happy being with him? Can she forget about her past...especially Park Jimin.
"Mark I-"
Seulgi'S POV
Taehyung handed me a pice of my favorite bread before getting up to pour me some tea. But honestly I don't even have the appetite to eat or drink, I just want to see Jimin.
What's he doing right now?
"Stop thinking about him Seul" Taehyung warns and all I do is glare at him. I hate how he knows me so well.
Angry, I grab the bread piece and start ripping it to pieces before throwing it to the ground. There were bread crumbs everywhere, I plop back down into my chair and glare out the window.
From behind I hear Taehyung sigh as he gets out of his chair and probably starts cleaning up the mess I made. He's always like this, dumb and weak.
"You know they're are three year olds out there who haven't eaten a damn thing for days"
Here we go again with lecturing and scolding, blah blah blah blah blah. I cover up my ears with my palm.
As predicted Taehyung picked up the bread crumbs and placed it on the table.
"Take me to see Jimin" I cross my arms over my chest not giving him a glance.
But Taehyung laughs, he takes a seat next to me again, his right hand rests on my leg, "So now that you're done with me, you want him?"
How dare he-
But he's right, I'm done messing with Taehyung. Now I want Jimin, he's the perfect guy to be my king, smart, handsome, strong and kind.
"You should've seen it coming" was all I had to say to him. Taehyung came from a poor background, his parents were killed and he was forced to savage around for food and resources for his younger sister Yerim.
Yerim decided to take a job here in the palace when she turned 14 and we've become very close. I remember how she told me about Taehyung everyday, her stories of him made me curious as to how Taehyung would be like therefore I asked her to bring him to visit me.
And not long after I took a huge interest in him.
"I risked everything to be with you and make you happy but you dropped me faster than you dropping the name of being a pure princess"
His grip on my leg tightens and although it hurts I can not show it.
"It's not my fault you're stupid. But fine, if you don't want to take me to Jimin then don't, I'll go by myself" I stand up and head for the door but Taehyung grabs my wrist pulling me away from the door.
He slams me onto the wall and uses both of his hands to barricade my body. Although his state is one of a predator and I know I'm his prey, it doesn't ignite anything but dullness.
Even as his hands come up to stroke my arm up and down I feel nothing threatening.
"Can I sleep here tonight? I've been missing you like crazy these days" he leans his face down and buries it in my neck.
But I quickly push him away when I hear the door squeak open. Jimin stands at the door with no expression.
I clear my throat and rush to his side, "Do you need something Jimin?" No one can ever resist my smile.
"The king wants to see you"
