I couldn't believe what just happened.
Jasmine and Shawn just left like that, with Mr. Turner mixed in with emotions.
"You alright Mr. Turner?" I asked him, after I jumped down from a long limbed and tall tree. It was a tumbled and large fall as I stumbled down with the ground.
"I don't know." He mumbled, staring down at the ground.
"Where do you think they went?"
"I'm not sure, but I think I have an idea of where."

We just made a decision that could impact our whole future. Especially for the summer. We traveled to the motel down on Seventh since it was the only place we could stay at. For me, I was debating with my feelings upon this.
We were only teenagers. Yes, as much as I loved being with Shawn, but how would we make money? Plus about the letter.
There was so much bubbled thoughts attending throughout my entire mind.
I wanted to burst out.
It was overwhelmingly stressful as it was.
When we made it inside, Chip stormed into the bed. I didn't blame him since he had been outside all night.
I planted a seat on the bed right next to him, petting his soft, yet mangled fur.
Shawn locked the door behind him and headed towards me.
"How are you feeling?" He asked me.
I shrugged. I don't know why he would deny Mr. Turner's offer like that. To me, it was a pretty good deal.
He trailed up to me and placed me into his arms.
"We can't live like this forever Shawn." I said to him. He didn't answer me or give me any sort of certified response.
The room lingered and made some sort of sound as it was fulfilling the static silence.
Until Shawn interrupted and broke it.
"We just need each other." He whispered. He claimed a hold of both of my hands, meeting them up with his face. It was cold, but soon became warm with our collided touch.
"I know."
Yesterday was the last day of school- which meant that we were now on summer break.
No worries about homework, or anything of that sort.
It was all worth it.
We sat here again alone, followed by a long silence. We were resting in bed, our positions made to where we faced each other.
"Marry me, would ya?" He joked.
"Alright." I giggled.
He was stroking every part of my face, wether if it was my cheeks, ears, any part. He traced around the outline of my lips, transcending itself into a rendered kiss.
In between many kisses we fluttered each other with, my stomach was growling. I haven't ate anything besides the left over dinner Mr. Turner prepared for him and Miss Tompkins had last night. I didn't worry too much about it, but Shawn did.
He pulled away instantly and grabbed a hold of his leather jacket.
"Crap- dinner! I'll go get it. I still have some money left from a few weeks ago." Shawn started. He left me here with a kiss on the lips again then rushed out of the motel. I chuckled at his action, how rapidly he ran out of here just to get me food.
On the other hand, triggering through my mind still was the letter; I was alone, so it would give me some time to read it over again. As I searched for it throughout my bag, I couldn't find it at first.
Shit.
I scorched through it everywhere, opening up every zipper to dig it up. But it wasn't in a plain sight.
Then I realized:
It was at the Matthew's.
It was all too late. My mind pondered on it, with my heart beating rapidly than usual.
"No," I whispered,"no."
I considered going there. It would be a part of my future. But then I remembered the one person who would make my future more memorable.
To discover the world with in the most possible ways you could never imagine in your life.
Wanting to get my mind off of this situation, I decided resting my eyes would do. I scooted closer to Chip, who was already sleeping. I was on the right side of the bed, facing the closed, and curtain windows.
I closed my eyes, viewing just pitch blackness. I still had my thoughts running throughout my mind as if it was some sort of continuous drag marathon.
It was worth the rest though.
I felt my body fall into a deep slumber, with my eyes closed and mind evaporating down.
It was working for me at last.

Once I headed to Mario's Pizza across the street, the only affordable food I could purchase us, it was taking long to even order it. A few people were in front of me but I pushed past them.
"Hey, hey, what was that for?" Someone demanded me, although I ignored them.
"I need a pizza and quick. My girlfriend needs it."I ordered them.
"Sir, you're going to have to wait-"
"No waits. Give me one on the house. Now." I ordered. I gave them the crinkled up twenty dollar bill my dad handed me from weeks ago that I still had, retrieving it to the cashier.
As I requested, they cooked a cheese pizza in only a few minutes.
I headed back to the motel with the box of pizza in my hands, rushing to the motel room.
I left Jasmine by herself. Sure she had Chip, but at this time of night I had to be beside her. Protect her.
I came into the door, setting the pizza on the table.
"Alright, I have food. Bone apet-"
Before I could finish my sentence, Jasmine was sleeping peacefully beside Chip. Her arms were wrapped around his, as if she was seeking comfort.
The way she slept made me smile. How nonchalant she was. She wasn't stressed or overwhelmed, didn't show any worried and angered emotions whatsoever.
If you could see what I see-
how her long hair was scattered on the table pillows, with a couple strands in front of her face. How she closed her eyes made her appear more relaxed and calm.
I trailed in a tip toeing fashion as I leaned in on the bed. I tried my best not to wake her, since my intentions were to only cover her up.
She appeared to have forgotten about the blankets, which were underneath her. That would be hard.
So?
I covered her up with my leather jacket, trying to make it to where it would situate her warmly. What mattered to me right now was her comfort.
If she was okay.
She was my queen and I was her king. And oh dear lord, if someone disrupted her- may there be World War III
to begin.

"Shawn, what's that you have in your hand?" I asked him faintly. Him and I were both standing in the motel room, with him holding a blank sheet of paper crumbled in his hand.
"What's in my hand? More like what did you do to my heart." He choked out.
"Huh?" I asked. He threw the paper at me, which happened to be the letter.
Oh boy.
"You broke my heart Jasmine Clayton. And for that, I never wanna see you again." He snapped at me harshly.
"You don't mean that, do you?" I whispered, tears forming in my bottom eyelids.
"Oh I do. Goodbye, Jasmine. I hope you have a nice life without me." He brushed passed through me, frustrated.
Just like he promised, and he tended to it, he left me.
I heard a crackled noise shattering.
That, was the sound of my heart breaking. Tears poured down my face, continuing to stare at the now closed door.
Now it was over.
I was all alone. No one to care for me, ever. I just lost the one person who helped me throughout everything. He was now gone. And he was never coming back.
:::
I found myself in bed, gasping for breath. I turned over to see Shawn resting beside me. I was now relieved. The lights were shut off, and the moonlight outside dimmed through the window's, shining bright onto our faces.
I sat up, finding myself beginning to cry.
I thought that dream happened. But it didn't. Tears escaped and swelled over my eye lids, upset about the dream.
My fear was losing Shawn just like I had done in my nightmare. For good.
I didn't wanna lose him.
I decided long and hard it was time to do this. I rested back down and wrapped an arm around Shawn.
He didn't seem to feel it as I was embracing my hold around him.
However, he had eventually did so.
Since my hold was tight around his torso, he wrapped an arm around my waist, his eyes still closed though.
I placed an ear on top of his chest, listening softly to the sound of his pounding heartbeat.
I pecked him on the lips goodnight, thankful I still had him with me.
"I love you." I whispered to him, although he may not have heard. It was okay if he didn't.
As long as I had him, everything was for fine. It was reassuring and soothing all around.
Maybe I shouldn't go to that school. After all, it did relieve some stress about not having that letter.
This was the right decision at the most, right?
It was.
I knew it had to be.

The following morning, it was different.
I was already immune to the sight of seeing Shawn being the first to wake up at his cot, with Jasmine sneaking in to greet him with a romantic gesture.
I sighed, longing for them to come back at any moment.
I stood up from my bed, heading into the bathroom. For some reason I couldn't help but be cautious about it. Who knows.
Maybe Slippy could make a reappearance for all we could expect.
I took a glance in the mirror and bags were under my eyes. I couldn't sleep at all last night either. Thinking about my best friends and their lifestyle right know concerned me so much.
Mr. Turner was a mess.
You could tell from a mile away, his and Shawn's relationship was special.
He had a figure to look up to. A figure that dominated his life with a good, potential influence.
My mom came into the room suddenly and knocked on my door.
"Cory, are you in there?"
"Yeah Mom, why?"
"I need to show you something when you get out. It's important."
I opened the door to find my mom with an anxious look on her face.
"Mom, what's wrong?" I demanded her. She handed me what it looked like to be a letter.
"I haven't read this, but all I know it has something to do with Jasmine since her name is engraved on it. Maybe it's important."
I began to read the letter to myself. As I skimmed through every line in this paragraph, I couldn't believe my eyes.
I gaped my mouth open in shock.
I was excited for Jasmine.
She got a great offer to head to New York for her singing. A school to teach her lessons for a year; sustain an obtainable one lifetime opportunity to be able to attend this school for a year to have the ability to perform in front of bigger crowds.
This was great.
"What does it say, Cor?"
"Jasmine got offered a school offer in New York." I informed her, with a slight smile on my face.
"Oh my gosh. That's fantastic. Didn't Mr. Turner say where they were?"
"I think I know where they are.
At that motel on the other side of town. You know, the one on Seventh Street? I will give this to her in just a bit. I have to get ready now."
"Alright, good luck," she said, as I went to go choose an outfit for the day.
"Oh, and Cor?"
"Hmm?"
"May those kids find a loving, secured home." She whispered to me.
You could tell by the expression on her how much she wanted them to be safe.
And so did I.
Let's hope for a better life for the both of them. That's what they needed right now.

Shawn
When I woke up the next day, I found Jasmine still sleeping. The way she was placed too was one of the reasons why I woke up.
She had her arms enticed around my torso, with one of mine around her waist, drawing her closer to me. Her head sat on my chest, with Chip on the side of her.
She looks so comfortable, I thought.
Realizing it, today was the month of June now. I couldn't believe it.
We were on summer break.
Remembering we haven't ate the pizza at all last night, I thought it was time to wake her up. She must be starving.
I leaned up and gently shook her.
"Jas, wake up," I whispered to her,"Jas?"
She wasn't cooperative on waking up at first, but eventually she did. One eye opened, revealing me in front of her.
Once she saw me, she opened her other eye then sat up, within my reach.
"Shawn? What's going on?"
"Oh, aren't you hungry? Sorry if I woke you. I was just concerned, that's all." I pointed out. She caught a whiff of the scent coming from the pizza scent since it was still fresh, then got up from the bed.
She headed over and took a slice, biting a chunk of the gooey, yet refreshed cheese.
"Go ahead and finish eating. I'm going to take a shower, okay? I'll be right back out." I headed into the bathroom, and swishing the shower curtain over. I twisted the knob to warm, water beginning to pour from the faucet. I popped up the clink that started the shower head, then got in.

While Shawn was in the shower, it gave me some time to think.
Thinking about New York. Suddenly, my mind drifted to a picture of my aunt. I didn't even remember much about her.
How she sounded, the way she smelt, the way she looked. Heck: I didn't even have a picture of me and he kept with me.
I missed her a lot.
Once Shawn came out of the shower, it gave me the idea of taking one too.
"You're taking one now too?"
"Why not, right? We have to smell good."
Not only was it because of that, but I craved time to think. Now I would be appointed too.

Cory
It was time to head over to the motel.
Clenching the letter firmly in my hand so I didn't lose it, I was cautious with it. I didn't want it to fly away or anything. On my way there, I bumped into a sudden sight of Topanga.
"Oh, Cory! I didn't knew you were out. I was just heading to your place." She admitted.
"Well Topanga if you're looking for Jasmine, she's not there. Nor Shawn." I informed her. Her expression became entitled with utter concern.
"Oh, where are they then? Are they okay?"
"At this motel on Seventh. I hope they are. I was heading there now. Wanna come with me?"
"Yeah sure." She said. Holding onto my arm, we both chased off onward towards the motel.
:::
Shawn
My soggy, wet hair grimaced me with annoyance as I tried resting on the pillows, tendrils soaking it.
I waited patiently for Jasmine to get out of the shower since I was so bored. For a motel, there was nothing to do here. Just as I was about to go and pay $5 to the guy for turning on the tv,
there was a knock on the door.
Carefully incase it was a sign of Turner or a cop, I opened the door slowly, only to reveal Cory and Topanga.
"Cory!" I exclaimed.
"Shawnie!" He wrapped an arm around me, us hugging for a second.
We pulled away, only to ask them what they were doing here.
"Came to visit, that's all." Cory informed me.
"How did you know we were here?" I asked, raising an eyebrow suspiciously.
"Oh just had a feeling," he said, stepping through the door,"are you guys doing okay?"
"Yeah. It's all under control Cor." I assured him.
"Shawn, you still need a place to go to. You can't just stay in a motel room for the rest of your life." Topanga added in.
"Why do people keep saying we won't do okay?" I asked, frustrated.
"We aren't, it's just dangerous. Just consider Turner's offer, okay?" Cory advised me.
"So that's what you came here for?"
"No, Shawn, read this. It's important." Topanga insisted.
"Come on. You know I don't read." I scoffed, bluntly snorting in disbelief.
"It has to do with Jasmine. I think you should consider this. For the both of you."
"If this is a way to get us to come back to your place, we are never coming back." I spoke harshly.
Yes, I knew it sounded selfish. But I didn't follow in anyone's rule. No one was my dad. Certainly not my mother either, that's for sure. They couldn't replace it with a frequently new lifestyle like that.
"Alright, but please. Look at this letter."
Cory insists. I sighed, then retrieved the letter from him to get him to shut up.
Leaving, Cory and Topanga walked out the door, not coming back. But before Cory left, he said his last words:
"Please be okay."
