Saying that I was nervous when I walked out of the school was a major understatement. I didn't know what to expect and as I walked out of the school I didn't see Noss anywhere and Diana kept bugging me and prying me to give information on him. So far I had just told her that his name was Nathan and that he was British but moved here when he was young.

"Madds, why do you look so stressed? What's going on?" Diana asked beside me. We were both making our way to my house because she wanted to see Noss aka Nathan but he was no where to be found.

"Di, can you come over another time?" I asked and tried not to sound like I was begging her.

"Why is that?" She asked. Now she looked really alert and frowned.

"Because...I want to catch up on some reading. My books have been left untouched for so long, you know that."

"Since when did you want to avoid time with me to just read some books?" Diana looked really confused and her eyebrows were still furrowed.

"I just want some alone time." I said and cursed myself for it. I was just too tired and worried about Noss and the fact that I might possibly die to find any other excuses.

"Hard to believe just two days ago you were so sad about me not hanging out with you." She said and I reached out to her but she backed away which was weird and I was hurt just a little bit.

"Fine. Go do your shit. I'm just saying I get some time to spend with you but you don't want to."

"Also I have to go over to Nicks house first. Weren't you gonna go check on Ryan?" I said. I totally forgot about both of those things. Now I didn't know if I should call Nick and tell him we had to meet up some other time.

"I don't want to wake him just yet. Hes sleeping and I was going to stay over at your house while you're at Nicks. That's what I meant the whole time." Diana said as she blew out a piece of hair from her face. Of course. I've been worrying about dying so much that I didn't realize that.

"Then go to my house. I have to get to Nicks right after I ask him where his house is." Nick was in such a rush, he forgot to tell me where he was which made me worry more about going to his place.

"You're such a weirdo. Reading books instead of watching some awesome shows I found after coming home from Nick's. I'll have to take you to the therapist later." Diana said as she shook her head and I rolled my eyes. I then took out my phone and called Nick and was glad that me and Di were back on good terms. Nick picked up on the third ring.

"Hello?" A voice that sounded like Nicks answered and I cleared my throat.

"Hey Nick. Just called to ask where you lived since you were so excited you forgot." I forced out a light laugh and he sighed.

"I'm so sorry. Just that I feel weird." He said and I was about to ask him what he meant by weird but he quickly gave me the address and I thanked him and he hung up. The guy was strange.

"Okay, he gave me the address so I'm all good. You're good on where my place is right?" I faced Diana and she gave me a quick nod.

"Yeah. Have fun but hey, not too much fun." She said and gave me a wink and I lightly pushed her away as I rolled my eyes again.

"Whatever, bye." I said as I watched her go and then I scanned the area around the school again and finally saw Noss heading my way.

"Noss! There you are!" I said and I didn't know what I was doing when I started running toward him and gave him a hug. He was probably taken aback by my actions because he didn't do anything for a few seconds before he returned the gesture and I felt incredibly safe under his freakishly tall figure.

"I'm very glad to see you too, Miss Maddie but we have to move quick, there's not much time." He said urgently and I didn't want to let go of him but I slowly did and we both ran the opposite direction from where my home and Nicks home was.

"Who exactly are we running from Noss? I mean like, what's this persons name?" I asked as we speed walked and crossed the street and he looked down at me in concern.

"I think you know this person Miss Maddie. I overheard his name during the conversation between you and your best friend."

"What's their name?" I asked and Noss sighed.

"Ryan. Ryan Hasting."

I came to a stop abruptly.

"What?" I looked up at Noss, hoping to see some sign in his face that he was joking but his expression told me otherwise.

"Ryan Hasting, Miss Maddie. Well in our planet, his name is Rius but here he is called Ryan." Noss stated impatiently and I could tell he still wanted to keep running but I was too shocked to move.

"You've got to be kidding me. I have known Ryan for like six months now. What the hell! My best friend and Ryan are together for six months too! Noss I-"

"Listen Miss Maddie, I know you are in distress but regular people, people that seem no more than ordinary can be from our planet. They are everywhere. There's millions of us." He stated calmly. Externally, I was fine but in internally I was pulling all the hair off my head. I started to think about all the times Ryan has been odd or out of the ordinary but I couldn't think of much except for the fact that he was in all the advanced placement classes and should be in college right now.

"Oh my god, I just realized-" I stated as I thought about Diana. If Ryan wanted to kill me, he could do the same to Diana or worse.

"Yes?" Noss waited for my answer as I tried to pull myself together.

"Would he hurt Diana?" I asked him and he raised his brows.

"Your best friend?" He asked for confirmation and I nodded. "No, he wouldn't, he's only after you. The good news in all of this, Miss Maddie, is that he does not have any idea that you are the one that knows about us. Our president was in a rush when he released the news that you had found out about our existence and he forgot to mention your name."

"So Ryan has no idea its me." I said it as a statement and Noss nodded. I was just a little relieved that Ryan didn't want to kill me while being aware of who I was.

"Miss Maddie, I know this is a lot of information at once but we have to-" Noss couldn't finish because of the interruption of a car. We both looked toward the gray Honda. I knew that car. Someone stepped out, wearing a similar outfit to what Noss was wearing the first day he landed behind my house. He was wearing huge sunglasses. He slowly took them off and I took a deep breath.

"Maddie? General Noss?"

"Hello Rius."
