Constant Temptation - ChapterSeven

Harry’s POV.

“So I was just off the coast of France when I heard the news. ‘Three young women killed in a terrible animal attack.’ Then I thought, ‘animal attack? That sounds familiar.’” Her hand is tightened on my neck as she says the words familiar. “I said to Dylan that it sounded like our good friends Harry and Niall have been compelling the police to be clueless again. And well, we just had to join in on the fun.” The word ‘fun’ seems to inspire her to tighten her rip on my neck and snarl her teeth in my face.

“You know I don’t feed off humans, Molly.” I say through gritted teeth.

“I know.” She says hoarsely.

“And you also know,” I say kicking my legs forward. “That I’m older than you. Which means stronger.” I’ve sent her flying across the pavement over to where Dylan now stands. I blink at them both.

“I was just hoping that it would hurt.” Molly snarls back at me. “Last time I saw you, you were getting me drunk at a little wedding in Italy.”

I rolled my eyes, recalling the memory. “Twenty years ago. Are you still annoyed at me for that? You were threatening to murder the band they had hired unless I bought you a drink.”

Molly is a young girl that looks around twenty, but it in fact thirty years younger than me. Her hair is dark, straight and spiky and her eyes are a dark brown. Dylan is five years older than Molly, undeniably attractive with brown hair and grey cloudy eyes. He smiles at me apologetically.

“Hmm, it seems so. And then I ran off with Dylan. Quite literally.” She says.

“Oh?” I muse.

“Oh yes, after stabbing the best man in the back. Quite literally.” She says with menace.

“You didn’t.” I mutter in complete shock.

“Twenty years ago.” She replies smirking and I roll my eyes at her.

“Why are you here?” I demand, narrowing my eyes at here.

“I heard about your new pet.” A growl threatens to make its way through my throat, I hold myself back from ripping out her liver.

“His name is Louis, what of it?” I ask sharply and I can almost see Cole shaking his head at me out of the corner of my eye. I don’t know it fully but I’m guessing Molly threatened them not to run.

“Nothing at all Harry, I was just wondering if you were buttering him up to save for later.” She laughs and I roll my eyes at her. Of course she knows that there’s more to it, Vampire’s never even tolerate humans unless their potential food, or a one night stand.

“Leave him out of this. Is this your revenge? Taking it out on an innocent boy?” She laughs at my response.

“We do like him, don’t we Harry?” She says mockingly and I grow tired of her.

“Do yourself a favour Molly, and just leave while you still can.” I don’t refer specifically that we will hurt her, but if these killers are Vampire’s then maybe they don’t take kindly to new faces. Particularly if a face is as stubborn as Molly’s.

“That sounded like a threat.” I don’t have time to say otherwise. She scowls at me, if not for a second, before she notices it. I smell her before I see her. A strong human smell goes into my nostrils, along with something else, tears? Sweat? Sweat. I heightens her scent, making it clear to the day that the woman is running. I anticipate Molly’s blow too late, and I hear Molly down the path within a second or less. “You’re not going to remember this.” I hear her say to the woman before the strong scent of blood fills my nostrils, and Cole is holding back Cassie within a second.
