Arthur's breathing had finally leveled out and he was making little sleeping noises.
My eyes snapped open and I kicked the thick blankets off of me.
I turned to see the pirate captain laying with a blanket and a pillow about 2 ft away.
He looked very peaceful while sleeping. Arthur lay on his back, his blond hair reflecting moonlight that came from the back window.

With the blankets covering his clothes he almost looked.... Normal.

Like some 20 something year old guy who had been spending the night at a friends.
Definitely not like a tyrannical Pirate who looked and occasionally acted like he wasn't from this century.

I sighed noiselessly to myself, sliding slowly out of bed. I began to pull my converse onto my feet, but I forgot to tie the laces of the right shoe.

Of course, I didn't realize this.

As I was about to step over Arthur, to the door, my lace snagged onto a floor board, causing me to fall on top of the pirate.
Thankfully, I stuck out my arms to catch myself before I could actually crash into Arthur.

Then, my face turned pink.

Why, you might ask?

I realized I had landed in a rather, ah, compromising position.
