Trigger warning :

Her arm is so limp. But checking her consciousness isn't necessary, I know I can rely on her for that. However there's no way those sticks of skin and bone can hold her weight for much longer. But longer is what confronts us.
I stop us to wrap her feeble excuse for a coat tighter. Again, an action that isn't necessary. The wind slashes through our jaded frames huddling together, grabbing at the edges of the cloth to take for its own.
Bright knives split the sky into fragments as the earth below us shakes with deafening rumbles. She doesn't shiver anymore. It's beyond that.
Trying to pull back the hair from her streaming nose I catch a glimpse of those dry, stone eyes. It's beyond everything.
Fumbling I smear more mud over her speckled complexion. Not that it matters. The grease and dandruff caked into her hair from weeks without luxuries has only briefly been affected by the torrents from above.
More white light fractures the dense blanket above, imbuing the urgency of our situation. Clasping our hands I pull us onwards through the remaining sets of wooden arms swinging angrily at us. Leaves crunch beneath our stumbling feet; I don't understand how I can hear that over the tumultuous rage enveloping us.
I glance at her hunched form, staggering beside me. The only insight I've received of her plight is the episode I awoke to this morning.

Her cheeks bore rigid lines burning down her face, eyes streaming, eyes alive with the darkness of a lost soul, rapidly searching everywhere, anywhere, for nothing. Beads of sweat lined her temple, some journeying past her jaw. Red beads ran down her forearms, what's left of her fingernails red with destruction. Foreign noises erupted from her chest ripping through mine, strangling her shallow breaths. There was no comfort, no calming a wild innocent shown only lack of humanity.

A/N
This ones a bit darker to the past snippets I've uploaded but is actually one of my main writing styles. I put a trigger warning up the top because of the last paragraph down the bottom. Uh yeah hope you enjoy.
