with skin

unequal
why?
why does someone's skin color have to represent everything they're worth?
why does someone's skin color indicate their
intelligence?
their morals?
their beliefs?
their intentions?
their personality?
their entire lives?
dark, pale, or anything in between,
were all immediately evaluated and judged.
pale is automatically superior in comparison to dark.
because pale is comfortable.
while dark brings back touchy past mistakes.
i wish everyone's skin would peel
as if they were a banana
so they'd all remember
we're all equally human.
that last line wasn't a threat i promise.
