i don't have two parents
i've never seen how parents fight
how they make tough decisions
how they show each other their love hasn't died
how they raise children together
i don't know how a marriage works
i've never seen it
i've seen countless movies and tv shows
but they're all fake
the marriages are always either failing or absolutely perfect
i've seen my grandparents be quietly passive aggressive while we're over
and i've heard my mom say how much she loved and still does love my dad
but it's not the same
trying to be nice infront of your grandchildren
and saying how you love your dead husband
that's not something i can take away from
how will i ever get married
i mean sure no ones perfect
but how will i know how to be a good wife.
