   "No no no no. David." I tryed breaking free.

  He stood in terror.

  "Shoot her! Ow ow ow. " She grabbed on to my hair.  I turned to look at her. She wouldn't let go of my arm.

  I heard a gun shot, her head flew back, and blood splattered all over me and the house. Her grip loosened, I scrambled backwards away from her.

  David had his gun in his hand, he was shaking.

  I was scared and out of breath."H-h-how?" I managed to say.

  David came over and put his hand out to me. I grabbed his hand and he helped me up. I wanted to cry.

  "Ann." David was still staring at the body. " I'm sorry.  I was in shock. Also, I think I know why she came back as one of those."

  I looked at him.  With a shaky voice I managed to say,  "It's not your fault."

  "Ann, we are all infected. Once we die we turn into one of those." That made me feel alot worst.  I felt the tears welling up in my eyes.

  "Ann?" David softly asked.

  "I'm okay." I wiped my tears away, "I'll be fine, this is just alot to take it. Almost being eaten and finding out that once we die we turn into one of those things." I took a long shaky breath, "Thank you for not abandoning me. "

  "I wouldn't abandon you, just like how you wouldn't abandon me."

  "Shall we continue?"

  I shook my head and half smiled. We continued walking. We were on Seaforth now.

I thought about the zombies. That's all that was going through my mind.

   "David?"

   "Yes, Ann?"

  "I don't think we should call them zombies. They use to be humans." He looked at me like the attack effected my brain.

 "What should we call them then?"

  I thought for a moment,"Walkers, biters, the others? We should have some respect for them.  Even if they are not humans anymore and they are trying to kill us."

  He grinned at me,

"Okay Ann. Are we close to your house yet? I'm tired."

  I sighed. "Yes.  we are almost there."

  We arrived at my house and both of my cars were gone.

 "They left." I told David.

"I'm sorry Ann."

  Anger welled up inside of me, "Thanks for being a family and keeping me safe as well."
  "No, it's fine." I was trying to think of where we were going to put all the supplies. I looked around and saw a mini van.

  I walked over and giggled the handle, "Its open."

  "I know how to hot wire a car with just a penny."

  "Why am I not surprised?" I said in a sarcastic tone.

  He smiled,"I'll do that right now."

  "Okay, I'll go inside my house and look around." I turned and started walking down my drive way.

  "Ann." I turned and looked at him. "Be careful."

"You too." I went down the drive way and went for the front door.

  I wiggled the door knob. It opened, I grabbed out my hammer and walked in.

  "Hm. Empty." I said to my self.  I stopped and looked out the window.

  "The shed!" I ran out outside to the shed.

  I put in twenty different codes.

  "None. " I threw a rock across my yard in anger.

   "Wait. My birthday...?" I put in my birthday month, day, and the last two digits of the year I was born in.

  It clicked open.

  "David! Come here!" I wanted to look into this darn thing for months. And now, I finally figured it out.

  He came running. "What's a matter? Is everything okay?"

"Ya, look at this!"

  He gave me a werid look. "A shed?"

  "No.  I got it to open! My dad was doing a project in here and never told anyone what it was."

  He looked at the light shining through the crack of the door."What is it?"

   "I don't know, but I'm going to find out." I opened the shed door.  The light was blinding. I stared into the bright room."Are you coming?"

  David stared at the light. "Um, sure. I guess so."

  I walked in and realized there were stairs. David fell, not knowing there were stairs, and slipped into me.  I grabbed the rail as fast as I could, so we didn't continue to fall down the stairs.

  "Sorry, I didn't know there were stairs." He smirked.

  I got up and continued walking.  They was a door with a note on it. I jumped over the last step and grabbed the note.

  It read:

  "Ann, if your reading this you found out the code. This was made for you. It will hopefully help you through this disaster. I'm sorry. We had to leave you. We could only have five people, I can't say where we are heading, but we are sorry.  I knew you would want us to take the three kids over you. I hope we will meet again.  My only advice, Survive." I dropped the note. I was in shock.

  "Ann? Are you okay?" David got fown onto one knee in front of me

  I looked at David. "They left me on purpose.  They are at a safe place."

  "What?" David grabbed the note and read it.

  I looked up at him while he read it. His facial expressions told it all-he was pissed. He handed the note back to me and sat down.

  "Do you have a pen?" I asked David.

  "Ya, why?"

  I looked at the note and thought.

"I need it."

  David opened his backpack and dug through it. He handed me a pink pen.

  I layed the note on the ground and wrote on the back. I folded it up, put it in my pocket, and gave David back his pen.

   "Thanks."

   "What did you write?"

   "I'll tell you later." I looked at the door.

   "Well, shall we see what your dad left for you?"

  I looked at him and smiled. "Might as well."

  I grabbed the handle and pulled it open.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Whoa." I smiled.
  David looked around, "No way."
